2007 350z vs 2001-02 vette
Ok what is needed to take a vette (auto) in the 1/4 mile with an auto '07 350z? The vette is stock and a little on the neglected side(lack of maintenance). Will bolts-ons do it? I'm seeing the '07 350z run 13.3-13.6 stock so thats not bad, what do you guys think the corvette runs stock in the 1/4 mile? Anybody ever run one? By the way the 350z is not mine, I don't own one........yet. we going to run it at the track, when the z is ready that is.

The C5 vettes are good for mid 13s stock with a good driver, autos are around the same. It would be a drivers race IMHO. The Vette isn't that much faster than the 07+ Z in 1/4 times if at all. The C6 is a low 13s to 12 sec beast.

My friend has a 99 FRC 6 speed that just went 12.9 @ 107mph bone stock here at Cordova about a month and a half ago (And the DA here has been crap which is why I haven't even run yet). Autos usually clip in a tenth or two behind them. MANY people have driven bone stock C5s in to the 12s/low 13s... autos will be lower 13s with 106+ mph traps... Better get some sticky tires and bolt ons before you even bother and make sure he doesn't mod at all.
A friend had a 99frc go 12.7@112 stock .. The auto targa vettes will run mid 13's and the 6spds will go low 13's.. The auto c6 run low 13's and the 6spd c6 runs high 12's. This is from experience at the track.
A auto c5 vs a auto 07 Z should be a good race, with the vette creeping on the back side most likely.

I hate looking at the list I quoted... My '03 C5Z only traps ~109 in Vegas. The DA here is my kryptonite.

My dad has a stock base 97 A4. I don't know what gears it has, but I presume it's the 2.7's. He refuses to take it to the drag strip. What would would an early A4 C5 with the taller gearing run and trap?
