Dont know if this is a repost but this 335i ran 11.9x @ 114mph with a few mods.

I love those cars!!! A local buddy of mine who owns a Mexican rest. has one that is sick looking. It's all blacked out, I love it!!! M'fer also has a modded C6 Z06, built motor vorteched Saleen, and a badass tahoe. BTW that wasn't a Cobra in the video it was a Mach 1.......
The N54 Twin turbo is a nasty motor. Best thing BMW has done for the 3series to make it dominate the segment. With a simple chip you can gain from 40whp to 60whp easy.. and there are other chips that gain more. Sick motor really. And if that is the same guy that ran 11.9 when i was reading on the bmw forums, the trap speed is a little low for that speed because it was all in the launch. He ran like a 1.6 60ft or something.. that with the addition of max torque starting from 1400rpms gets that car off the line QUICK. No such thing as turbo lag with those little turbos.. but nonetheless impressive time.

Auto 335s are supposedly faster based upon the fact that they have shorter gears and / or a shorter final drive. They also hold boost when shifting, creating a faster car. I believe the only time a manual can out run an automatic 335 is from 4th gear or 5th gear. I forget..
One fact of the quarter mile is; no matter how slow or fast your car is, the mph multiplied by the ET will pretty much be the same number every time. Before the NHRA changed the way that speed is measured in 1989, the product of speed and time was around 1400. Let's calculate some easy examples of this. A 14.00 et usually resulted in a trap speed very near 100 mph. A 10.00 et meant around 140 mph. A 200 mph pass usually takes around 7.00 seconds. These are still good rules of thumb to remember, but now the product is more like 1380 on average.
Remember, most everyone focuses on ET so much that they'll even optimize a car for slower mph if it gets them a better ET. (Rear-end gearing is one way to do this). Those guys tend to have a product closer to 1300. Our Z's tend to be 1380 to 1400 because they shine in the high end.
11.9 * 114 = 1356.6
That also assumes 11.900@114.00, since it's not given. But assuming the highest...
11.999 * 114.99 = 1379.77
(those decimals DO matter after all
)
So it's close to the norm (1360-1400), but the average between them (1368) shows that the lower end is where it made the best time. (i.e. good torque, lower gears, etc..)

IMO, the 135i does not look bad. It seems pretty fast too. I wonder how much they cost out the door...
oh...and the 135i can go to hell. It's ugly as sin and is really not that much lighter. If it weighed 2900-3100lbs it would be something special. But the fact that little ugly POS weighs 3300lbs just makes me shake my head.
