need advice...12.9@114
I'm trying to trap 117-118mph on worn stock 245/40/19s with 449hp and I don't really care what ET I run being that i'm on stock tires
My First time at the track with the new setup I did a 13.2@114 with a 2.34 60' and this week I ended up pulling off a 12.943@114.33 with a 2.221 60'. I have a 6mt g35 with every option...my spare, tools and all the plastic in the truck are taken out but other then that i'm full weight and I weigh in at 161. Anyone think it's possible to pull off a 117 trap with worn tires and a full weight g35.....I want to hit rev limiter in 4th but always make it to about 6900rpm and I want it to bounce off the rev limiter....I do 89 in the 1/8 mile...my feelings are that my launch is hampering the trap....any suggestions

Given that you are running consistent 114mph traps, unless you can turn up the boost or get a cooler day, I think you'll be pretty hard-pressed to pick up 3 more mph. In general, the faster you run (ET) the lower your mph will be, however, if you really made 449rwhp and are on that same tune at the drag strip, you should be able to turn a 117mph trap given the power:wt.
you can pick up 3 to 4 mph by not letting your right foot up.
i would rape that tranny!!
we have a G35 with less hp trapping 118 on stock tires. i think he has 409.
its possible , just keep it up

I definitely think the car has a 116 in it but haven't really tried powershifting.....I think its the weight of my car thats killing me....heated and powered seats, navi, revup interior, I just want to gut all of that out....wish I had bought a base model from the start.....but I have no worries about trapping 116 (only 2nd time at track) its the 118 that I want and hopefully with no lift shifting I'll pull off a 120.....

Man.. i made 395/325 on a dyno on my s/c setup. My best trap was a 116.7. My best et was a 12.2@115 on street tires. Even with the little bit of weight difference you should be trapping 118.
