Several Drag Strip Runs
Went to the local 500ft track tonight to practice lauching the car. Had a couple of interesting races i though i would post.
2002 Mustang GT with Flowmaster - a good example of how the launch is key. We raced twice: the first race i had a terrible launch and he jumped out in front slightly (1/2 car) but i was able to make up the ground and pull it out BARELY. The second race i had a wicked awesome launch and it was a 2 car kill for me, in 500 ft mind you. I was pulling away, BTW.
2002 Ram Air T/A - We both had good launches, raced once and he beat me by about 2 cars and he was pulling really hard when we crossed the finish. It would have been ugly in the 1/4.
2002 SS Camaro - Basically the same results as the T/A.
Acura Integra (don't know the year) - I could see him way back there in my mirror when i crossed the finish......this one was a waste of petrol.
(80's???)Buick Regal - Ok, i expected this guy to kill me because it resembled all the other "real" drag cars that were bracket racing out there earlier. Unfortunately for him, that wasn't the case and he got a nice **** kicking. Not a minute to soon either, he was a real *****. I tried to tell him nice race and talk a bit and he just drove off. He looked pissed
So there ya have it. Those friggin LS1's just make me want that GReddy TT more and more..................
