So I went to the track in my NISMO
don't hate the nizzy just yet I get what you're saying about the wheel hop we have that as well but ... I can do 13.4 in mine and my hubby can do a 13.4 in his as well.... I wish you had aceman where you are.. he's the BEST advice giver ever. He lowered all my tire pressures to 28psi and really helped coach me.

That body kit must be slowing you down a good amount. Your first 2 shifts need work. My car with less power on a DJ trapped 107mph. Good job getting out there though, more seat time and better weather will help you out.
SAR track prep sucks unless its on an official NHRA event. However your car does seem a bit slower than normal- at least the traps are. I ran mine there last summer in 85+ degree temps and even with horrible 2.3-2.4s I consistenly trapped 102-103. This is even with my huge heavy 20s on. Scale with +/- 1/4 tank weighed me in at 3225 to 3250 on numerous occasions.
Dont feel bad remember most near stock evos/stis have a hard time getting low 13s at this track.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago at gainsville I got 60 ft down to 2.1-2.2 and trap 103-104. 20s still on. I wanted to run with stock 18s but now my clutch seems like its slipping at WOT.

I would guess that its your shifting that is a little slow as well. Your 1/8th time does seems a little slow for your decent 60'. I cant believe it weighs that much as well.
Too much junk in your trunk! You need a diet. (Your car that is. Dont want to upset you personally!)

Well next time I go, the car will have a 1/4 of gas in the tank, and hopefully I won't have issues with shifting. I figured I was shifting fast since I was breaking the tires loose by shifting so fast. hehe.
If you are serious about drag racing, invest in some Drag radials or slicks. After going out to the track on street tires last weekend, I will never ever go to the track again without my drag wheels.

lol I'm going 1 more time without dr's... that's the 30th. I looked like a little bunny rabbit hopping down the track! LOL
Ya this f8ckin tranny likes to grind from 1st to second.. I had the Dwolf kit and I would always grind, so i took it out, never grinded since but the tranny has the same sound as if it were right about to grind.. i've grinded maybe 10-12 times already in this car at WOT, even if I keep the clutch down ALL the way.. (with dwolf clutch kit) so f8ck that thing..
how many times have you grinded? When I shift first to second sometimes it doesn't like going in either, but at WOT it always needs more force to get into gear.
btw I have 15k miles on my 07.. so far no problems yet

Your traps are pretty dang low for an HR and trapspeed really isn't that influenced by shift speeds. I also have a hard time believing executing a perfect and super fast 1-2 shift is key to dropping some ET. My guess is it was just a slow day. It happens, especially with these cars and some days the track is just slow. I wouldn't bother heading back out to the strip until it's cool and dry fall air. There's no sense in drag racing in the warmer months.
Trap speed isnt influenced by shift speeds!?! Wow-thats funny...shift speeds affect ET AND trap, somebody who b!tch shifts a 6MT will always trap like a$$, stock or TT. Thats like saying shifting wont make a huge difference racing from a roll.

Did I say it helped my times?
Did I say I went to the track?
I believe I said the kit makes you grind, and thats it.
I believe the design of the clutch was made like that to prevent grinding. The dwolf kit cuts an inch of travel out, but I noticed the 1st to 2nd gear doesn't grind if pushed all the way down..(Hence why I explained I was grinding with the kit) the other gears you can depress the clutch less. So in short the long A$$ clutch travel is necessary.
