LOL, the track is about 50 miles each way. the trailer was cheap (135$) so i figured what the heck. most of the street cars drive to the track with their DR's. I just wasnt sure how bad they wear on the hwy. Dont wanna burn up 550$ in tires more than I have to Not that street tires are much cheaper though

Drag racing is easy, drag racing well is hard. Keep practicing man. Also interested to hear how those M&H's work out. I loved my M&H slicks, but have zero experience with their DRs.

Well drag radials can make a crappy driver look ok. My previous best on street tires was 8.46 @ 89 with a 2.1 60'. Tonight I did 7.83s at 89.96 with a 1.68 60'.

I made 3 changes from my last trip to the strip, drag radials @ 15psi, softened my rear coilovers, and the Injected Performance rear differential brace. Well 28" tires also let me blow thru the trap in 3rd gear at 6500 rpms where as with my street tires I had to shift to 4th 30' before the line

I did 4 or 5 1.8x second 60's and you can really tell when you get that launch right. high 3000 rpms clutch slip and off she goes. Too bad a majority of the night I'd launch at 4k then bog to 2k and get going.

Regardless of my 60', i only trapped 90mph once. just seems like thats the wall. More practice next week. Gotta figure a better way to rack the DR's on the trailer

Good idea. Stiff rear springs are helpful.

Crossing the finish like at 6,500 RPM is about perfect - unless you had the rev limiter bumped.

well finally made it out to the 1/4 mile. Fayetteville hooks 1000x better than Dunn-Benson.

This pic proves it!

12psi drag radials + 4200 rpm launch = broken axle. I love 100 mile free towing from AAA. I use it at least once a year

I knew my axles would need upgrading, but not so soon. Time to post on the FI forum on if the level 5 DSS axles are still having problems.

On my 2nd pass I did a 12.3 @116.55 with a 1.91 60' with a 3000 rpm launch. Nothing to write home about.
