Default Vortech Guys.........

Hay Vortech Guys,

Went to Bradenton DragStrip Yesterday

12.010 at 118.00 MPH and had to let off in 2nd gear due to tire spin and not the best driving skills..........Crappy 60FT Time 1.905. "Pulled like a mother up top"

To "Date" this is only the 10th pass on car Total...........

Very pleased with the MPH, But was bouncing off the rev limiter 100ft before the traps @7000rpm, need taller tires.

With (better burn-out) better traction and driving car should go 11.80's-11.90's

This is a 03 Touring 6 Speed, Stock Block, Vortech SC Trim, SS box, 2.87 pulley, Headers, No Cats, Injen Duel Exhaust and M/T DR'S

That's very nice. What kind of boost are u running with that pulley? And were you running drag radials?

Sorry,
The Co is called SplitSecond, it's a piggyBack ecu that controls Fuel and Retard Timing.

I made 400rwhp with a street tune, 3.12 pulley, no headers, with cats on 93 octane.
Now a much more agressive race tune, 2.87 pulley, headers, no cats on 100 octane.
Yours guess is as good as mine, but I would say about 435rwhp.

Congrats on the time man. I was wondering when someone was gonna take my time down. My 12.1 was on the 3.12 pulley.. best trap for it was 116.87.

Thank You,

I think you mean your 12.171 was with the 3.12. No rounding off the Numbers!

What did you run with the 2.87 pulley?

i installed the 2.62 with a alky kit.. Then the clutch went bye bye before i could hit the track again. It would burn the 275's off in the rear through 2nd gear, while the clutch was still holding. First gear was pointless with it.

No more vortech for me though. Going another route.

In your first post you said you were bouncing off the rev limiter 100ft before the end at 7k? Did you have a reflash also?

Yes, rev limiter is at 7100rpm. I need a taller tire.

All was good with the 2.62? Did you get rid of the Vortech?
so what are you doing now?

With the alky i could keep the afr's in the rich area.

Ok, that explains the 12-13psi on the 2,87... I was only revving to 6600rpms on a completely stock motor and on 245's.

Thinking big single.
