What do you guys think on these two? The Vette is a auto with a Stall.

A guy I know wants to line our cars up at the strip. By then I will have my UPREV tune done on my car. I am thinking it will be close.

 

Tree him and you should be fine. What is your current ET? I took a C5 with exhaust and tune, but then again, he was sleeping at the light.

 

it will be close... stock C5's usually trap 3-4mph higher than the 07 Z's on average ..... with your tune and uprev and his stall it will be an intersting race... my guess is the vette might take it

 

yea it will be a close race but if he is half decent at driving the automatic and hooks he should be in the 12's easily

 

Just found out he had more mods than I thought. Here is a few more. And the CAM. LOL! I don't believe I stand a chance.

I think you can take him. Those mods are cosmetic at best.

Mods wont help you if you cant drive, I think you're in for a boning....

 

I can tell you right now how the outcome will be...with the stall/DR's he is definitely gonna come out of the hole better than you. Then from there my guess would be atleast 2-3 car lengths. My stock 03 C5 6spd ran a 12.94 with just ET streets. If he actually has a good cam plus all the additional mods you listed that car should be around the 375-385 whp range. But you should do it just to see what the outcome would be.

 

Your going to see his tailights all the way down the track.

yea stock c5's will run high 12's low 13's with a decent drive

 

With a stall and drag radials,he will cut about a 1.60 or better 60' time and should be well into the 11s with a trap speed near 120mph.Plus his launches would require less driving skill,automatics almost always beat a stick at the drag strip.

 

I say confuse him by whipping out a 12 pack of bud light AND coors light. Then floor it, its the only chance you have.
