Default How to get below 5 secs 0-60

I would like to try and get my 0-60 down in my 2008 Z 6speed. They list these at around 5.3 seconds. Is it quite the task to drop this down to 4.9 or 4.8? I would like to stay N/A for now so do you think I could hit this with bolt ons like HFCs and exhaust etc?

Thanks

just trade it for a 370z, they do 0-60 in 4.7 seconds STOCK, it's amazing what 26 more hp will do.

but honestly, who really cares about 0-60 times?

x2 you should be thinking about 1/4 mile time not 0-60

I asked how to do it, not if you guys thought it was ok to think about it or not. Maybe I have my own reasons to worry about 0-60 vs the 1/4. Regardless I would still be interested in help instead of these bitter replies.

Thanks

It's something I'm interested in. I'm just trying to learn more about the car and what parts affect the car and how. The only "racing" I do is light to light stuff in the city. I'm just curious in all honesty.

anything is possible, but what is your budget? bolt-ons like HFC's, exhausts, test pipes, intakes will all help....but the 5.3 sec you are referring to, did you do the run yourself or going by paper magazine?

Magazine which is why I said "listed" in my first post. I feel I'm a decent driver although I'm sure I have plenty to learn which could help me do this a little better. My budget can't afford a TT kit but can afford the other types of items I have mentioned.

And Dave079 some of us don't have the time to do any real racing which is why I hesitated to even call street racing actual racing because I know it isn't.

I don't understand why so many people feel they should be so negative. Like it's hurting them that I ask a question.

Wow this place is full of douche bags. I don't need to brag to anyone. I didn't know there was a list of "rules" that I needed to conform to own and enjoy my car. Sorry to offend so many of you.

no what u should be thinking about is ur 60ft. time if u are worried about racing and times, then the quarter will come...full exhaust, underdrive pulleys, intake, and some sticky tires and a new z should def. pull faster than 5 seconds 0-60 though imo....u have alot to learn and should prolly lurk for a while

I’ve never raced against a list before.
Does a list get anxious at the starting line, and blow the lights?
Does a list have practice with the clutch and throttle for respectable 60 foot times?
How goes this work?
