Not trying to get into a pissing match, it's cool if you are trapping that high. I drive well...and I drive hard. I have one the quickest times in the nation in a Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS with just intake and full exhaust.

Just trying to say, bone stock I ran a 13.8 @ 101 and I don't think my car has trapped any better then around 101.8 I've been out there in the spring when the weather was in the 30s-40s, i've been out there in the warmer weather, I've tried it all.

You definitely got to get your 60ft times down and you'll do great. I got mine down pretty low, but I think I am shifting too hard down the track and getting the tires to spin in 2nd and 3rd a little bit. My best 60ft is 2.08, 1/4 e.t. is 13.75 at 101.9mph. I should be getting lower ETs.

I am actually planning on heading down to Edgewater here in a week or so. I'll PM you and see when the next time you go, maybe we can meet up. Sounds like we would be a good race. I have an 04 base with bolt ons. I want to try and get some runs while the weather is still cold.

In all honesty I'd say skip edgewater and go to tri state dragstrip on saturday afternoon.. The two tracks are not and day... Shoot me a pm when you do decide to make the trip I'm always down for some runs

Well man I really don't know what to tell you... I know what my car ran everyone I know knows what my car ran that's all that matters... I have no reason to lie about a dinky 13 second pass and 105 trap speed not like that's considered fast in the real world.. There's a lot of very slow Z's out there due to ppl who drive like crap I figured I'd get some credit for driving the **** out of my car and not being another Z stuck in the mid to high 14's....

as for my dyno numbers I did 245whp and 225tq off spray on a heartbreaker dyno

you know what... actually it wasn't a heartbreaker dyno, was a dyno jet which I believe reads higher than most... Idk my car is goofy like that... Oh I forgot to mention my muffler was off during these runs, dunno if that helps in any way shape or form... Trying to get that nice shine back on the tips..

I want to believe you. I just can't. I realize you don't have any reason to lie. My car makes 257 and 241 at the wheels on a dyno jet with the base map and I cracked 103 once. Is your car significantly lighter than stock? I only ask because I have made 500+ passes in my life and my previous car had a best of 11.1 @ 125, so I am no newbie. I guess it is just buggin me thats all. I apologize if you think I am tryin to e-mug you it wasn't my intention.

well the spare tire was out from where I replace the nitrous line a week ago and never put it back in... I really don't know what else to say... If I can get 2.4 sixty ft's again next week you'll have a video of my car trapping 104-105... If I hook well I expect 101-102 traps with a significantly better et... I'm not a seasoned veteran, I'm 20 this is my first drag raced rwd car and I've had it for 7 months... Maybe it's a factory freak but hell the dyno numbers weren't impressive... weird thing is bone stock the damn thing wouldn't even trap 100

Why would your speed drop? My best mph tend to correspond to my best 60's. I am pretty consistent in the 2.05-2.12 area and stay at 102-103mph. The few times my 60's dropws into the 2.3's and higher my speed always drops off. With 105 and a 2.0 you are in the 13.3-13.4 range.

usually I lose trap speed when my 60 ft drops... Something I've noticed being around the drag strip my whole life.. Traction = lower trap speeds generally... You know last year on a 75 shot I trapped 106...

I understand what you are saying its just in cars that aren't fast (ours) generally the wheel spin is at a minimum and thus acceleration happens for a longer period=higher traps. In my old car I never ran on full boost on street tries, but on 12 psi I ran 116 on street tires and 114 on slicks so I get your point. It just seems in the z the better the launch (street tires) the higher the trap in my experience. You ran 106 on the 75 giggle and 105 off the juice? Any dynos on the bottle?

That makes more sense. I think the mods you did just really helped alot. Good job on the nice trap speed! Get out there and pull a 13.3-13.4, with a 105mph trap and a better 60' your car has it in it.

I think I have a very respectable time for a bone stock '06. That time is from 3 years ago, nearly to the day! I'll have to find the timeslip.

I know the OP, and also know he isn't lying. Right before he ran at the track, we raced (my car, 04 6 speed, motordyne 5/16, AAM test pipes, pop charger) and he pulled a decent amount. My car has always ran a *little* better than average, so I was quite impressed. My car trapped 102.8 last year(before plenum spacer), so his trap speed makes sense.

Badass Sean, that thing runs great.

Alright, but wtf does that have to do with this thread? Seeing as his car is an 06.
