Default Calling all automatic Z drag racers...

Hey guys...Just curious if anyone here takes out the brake lamp fuse when you drag race at the track??I know in order to get a good burnout without the engine killing power with my old 6 speed car I had too..I tried to foot brake my automatic car the other day and could feel the engine killing the power...I would imagine you could get a hell of a launch out of an auto car if the "remove brake fuse trick" works with an auto too...

To make a long story short, do any of you auto guys drag race with the brake lamp fuse out, and if so what were your results????

---thanks!!

I'd say its a waste of time if your not on DR's or slicks. I tried it a few times and my 60's didnt change. All it did was burn more rubber off the tires. I've pulled 1.9 60's on my street tires with the brake fuse in.

I didn't have to pull the brake fuse with the stock wheels (17") but i sure have to now with 19". The ECU cuts the power as soon as I have brake and throttle on.

Yeah, I sort of get half-*** wheel spin, not really burn out material. That's with a turbo too. Maybe I'm braking too much, or just need to pull the fuse

Pull the fuse and you will light them up! This is when my Z was stock.
