Default 1/4 mile for 08 Z

Hi guys, last Friday was my first time at the track and was only able to do a 15.005 at the quarter, I have a stock 08 touring 6spd. the altitude is 925 ft over sea level, it is summer here and was around 100 degrees that night.
I ran on stock tires ( 18 inch rim )

Are these times ok for being the first time and the above conditions and
what times you think an experience driver should get ?

Regards..

We are 600~ ft over sea-level here in San Antonio, and I still ran a 13.8 with a crappy 60ft. You should be much faster than the time you got. These cars run stock 13.1-13.8

that's a terrible time for first time driver on an 08.. you should be in the low 14's as a beginner and then in the 13's as you get better...

yeah stock 03'z up here at 6000ft run 15 flats...
you should be around 14 flat if you are a decent driver.
a good driver should be around 13.5 which is fast for stock z.

You did OK. Much better than our champion bench racers who have never posted a time. 100 degrees is accurate? That takes a toll on you and your car.

hey i tought i might put this out there...i took my completely stockat the time, 07 enthusiast to the track a couple of months after i got it and this is what i got in 1/8th of a mile. unfortunately i dont have a quarter mile around here..at least within a 120mile radius... oh btw i am on the left, #2951 (on the side note, i know my reaction time was horrible that run) lmao but the time wasnt all that bad IMO

This is an approximation of 1/4 miles stats.

Thats a terrible start.. you should be running 8.6ish in the 1/8th with a good 60ft.

Like everyone said that is a terrible 1/4 time. I ran better times with a low input knock sensor lol. U just need to practice and u should be good. HR Z should be in the low-high 13s.
