I ran a 6.0L GTO several times.... which was weird because we both had very close 60ft times.... and extremely close trap speeds.... on one run we trapped exactly down to the thousandth... but he was half a second faster which I couldn't figure out. He said he has issues getting into 4th gear which might explain it.

I ran probably 15 times... couldn't get into the 13's to save my life.

The new camaro SS was out there... ran a couple 13.7 @ 104

A guy I've raced with on a road course was out in his 3rd gen RX7... he put down a couple 11.6 and one 11.4... that car is fast as ***** on a road course..

Anyway, there you have it. Suckage at the dragstrip!

Yes, but sub 2.0 60fts are absolutely possible bone stock (that's how bad my 60ft times are). Track prep at thunder valley is notoriously bad on test and tune nights, they almost never spray and they don't let cars run in the grooves that avoid the water box (they force you to stage near the wall instead of the center).

I definitely agree it's gay as hell.... I really only wanted a stock benchmark against my old 350z on the same track. I'll probably go up to tulsa if I go again, I've only heard good things about their track (newer track, good prep, and 400ft less elevation). The only drawback is it takes an hour and a half to get there.

I knew right when I started giving the 370 hell, that my old 350z (slightly modded) was faster. Time for some mods.

 

ive heard the 370z responds well to bolt ons.. give it ago after the mods

 

best test to see if its acutally elevation that causing the slow times is to come down to a track that at sea level and test again..... it would be a fun road trip too!

 

I ran my 370 Z today at the ontario Z drag day at St thomas dragway and my best pass was a 13.20. Its a 7 AT, in that pass i hit the revlimiter in 4th gear.
Launching this car is hard as my best 60 ft time was a 2.0179.
My best trap was 107.9/
I have installed the stillen G3 intake and it feels way more powerful on the but dyno.
I will dyno it next week, my base line is 266 rwhp.
The elevation was 785 ft.
Temp 72 degrees
my average pass was 13.34 to 13.42.
