heh good luck. I've gotten as low as 14.019@100.81 mph (need to update my sig) with intake, exhaust, grounding kit and upgraded wheels/tires. Maybe if i got high-flow cats and the infamous crawford plenum, it would help a bit more, but in terms of mods, there isn't much more you can do... however, rumor has it the track at LI motorsports is about .1 - .2 slower than what your true time may be... but i think it is very hard to get 13.5 NA. Someone claimed to run 13.6 bone stock with their z, but no timeslip = bs. Most stock Z's are running around 14.1 - 14.3.

Most does not = all. Obviously it depends on track, temp, humidity, and elevation. My car stock went 13.8 @ 103 as do most of the ther Z's around here with the few exceptional drivers hitting 13.7 and 13.6's. Then there are the newbies runing 14.4 to 15.5 that need more practice.

I've seen a 13.6.

You get Intake, Plenum, Exhaust, Headers, Cams, Test Pipes I bet you'll get there just fine.

I thought most 350's dyno at 240-245 to the wheels stock?? Sounds right to me, I guess he is a good driver to bump the rev limiter, in 90 degree weather and still run a 13.6. I think mid 13's is in the car with a GOOD driver.

edit: Briguy, arent u the guy who raced WisS2k or whatever his name was off s2ki.com?

Yeah. CLS on this board raced his friend in a S2000 from a stop and from a few diff mph roll ons. Wasn't pretty for the S2000.

That's about right...the S2000 guys that swear the S2k is quicker than a 350Z are delusional.....

with some lightweight wheels and sticky tires, plenum and cams, I'll definitely see 13.5's

not quicker but right about on par...but much harder to extract all the potential out of it than the Z, the 2004 should put up an even better fight

I disagree....my friend drives the crap out of his S2k....he's the person who originally taught me how to drive a manual and I have no problem pulling on him. Actually his car is about dead even with a Stang GT.

The 2004 has yet to even be tested...so it's all speculation right now.

well i have seen a couple 13.8's and alot of 14.2 's so to me it sounds even...however the S2k has to be launched hard and from a roll i dont think you get a true comparo to 1/4 mile capabilities sorta like saying i beat an STi from a 50 mph roll but if he launched on you at 5K + he'd have put 2-3 cars that you'd be trying to make up

comparing an AWD car to a RWD car from a stop and a roll is NOTHING like comparing two RWD cars in both situations. Apples to oranges.

The first year that the S2k came out ('99) I don't think I even heard about any 13 second passes. Average was high 14s and good was low 14s.....plenty of Zs have hit 13s and pretty much all 6-speed Zs trap over 100mph stock...not something you can say for the S2ks....

huh?? I'm STOCK and I only have one more tenth and a half to go to be below 13.5....cooler weather and a better launch should get me there with no added hp at ALL.

S2K and the Z are pretty equally matched. The Z is about .2 quicker down the 1/4, so it all comes down to the driver.
