Wow the maturity level here is just sad.
It seems like maybe you're the one with comprehension and correlation issues (no offense), or just straight up denial issues. Just because your car has never lost, it doesn't mean that you can generalize all other HR 350s to be faster than 370s (or something similar to this effect).

So to use my car as an example, my 2003 DE 350Z has never lost to another Z (Z32, Z33, Z34) in N/A form. So can I use my own experience to generalize and assume that all DE Zs must be faster than the other types of N/A Zs?

Personally, I have nothing against you, but the fact that you won't admit the Z34 is a superior car (regardless of how big or small that difference is) gets old real quick.

Wow, that time is awesome! That car would beat me 90% of the time if I was on street tires. With the flat torque curve of a 370, it can launch alot easier that us turbo guys.

I bet once these 370s start popping up more at the tracks as the temperatures start to drop, we will see more suprising numbers like this one.

And that's my point. I have never ever said the HR is faster than all the other 370s. Nexx on the other hand wants to keep trying to point that out when I have never said that. I have said the 370z should be faster. But till this timeslip showed up, it hasn't been per the timeslip databases.

Again, I have never said it wasn't or was a superior car. Nexx is the one making it seem like that.

There are other instances when you have said straight out that the 350HR is a faster car. I just dont care to take my time to dig them up.

Wait.............what?

From solo in one his delusional denial posts in the 370z sub-forum.

Timeslips vs actually running the cars is different. I have beaten them. Like I said. Some of you guys are just in denial.

it proved the contradiction in your posts.. I have nothing against you, but you keep asking for proof and now you have it.. this slip and the slip from the stock one....

which proves that on average the 370 will be faster then an HR 350.. espeically because this time was faster then the best bolt on HR time and as mentioned this car was a freaking auto on street tires!!

its not rocket science and its not the end of the world...it makes sense that a newer model would be faster than an older one..

lol at the competitor.

i think i could push my car faster than 18 seconds in the 1/4. it went 11 in the 1/8th and the track owner here runs his stock PT cruiser for fun sometimes under 11 (in the 8th). pathetic...hahahaha

I'm now curious to see what #'s I can put down. Install date for my gears & Diff is Oct 26th! Not sure how late in the year the local strip is open till. With some cold fresh air I'm betting on 12's with my car.

Traction will be a problem. Which would I be better off making this attempt with? Toyo's or stock Nismo rims & tires? Would be a good comparison with op's 370z

I'd recommend borrowing some DR's..........it makes it far more enjoyable.

*I thought you were anti-drag racing .

Good luck on it though.

Yeah not one for dragging. But for chit n' giggles I wanna see what the car will run. Car is setup for mountain runs/autox right now. If I can get traction car should be impressive with the new 4.08 gears & Quaife diff.

I'm not buying 17" rims. Hell no!

I run 15's (wheels) ......getting traction on street tires with 4.08 FD is going to be VERY tough.

Impressive times for the 370Z. I knew from the start the 370Z had high 12s in it with some 26" slicks, a 1.7 60', and a couple of bolt-ons. But let's be VERY clear about something, this Canadian track the Z was run at is EXTREMELY quick. I've always made jokes about these Canadian tracks having nitrous-infused air because they always seem to spit insane ET/MPHs. This is the same track that a new Accord coupe 6MT with a CAI and precat deletes ran a 13.5@105mph. These numbers aren't the normal for either car. I have a VERY hard time believing a 370Z 6MT with the same bolt-ons and some 26" slicks is going to run a 12.4@110mph with 1.7 60' because that is exactly what this 12.8@110mph would equate to if the 60 foot improved .25 tenths. It's just not realistic.

On a normal track, expect to see 370Zs with these types of bolt-ons running 13.2-13.4s@105-106mph and 6MT with slicks to push into the 12s. I don't want people thinking this type of performance is the norm because it's far from it.

Oh and the 370Z is definitely a faster car than the 350Z HR.

Gears make the biggest difference at that power level...

Great times!
