Impressive times for the 370Z. I knew from the start the 370Z had high 12s in it with some 26" slicks, a 1.7 60', and a couple of bolt-ons. But let's be VERY clear about something, this Canadian track the Z was run at is EXTREMELY quick. I've always made jokes about these Canadian tracks having nitrous-infused air because they always seem to spit insane ET/MPHs. This is the same track that a new Accord coupe 6MT with a CAI and precat deletes ran a 13.5@105mph. These numbers aren't the normal for either car. I have a VERY hard time believing a 370Z 6MT with the same bolt-ons and some 26" slicks is going to run a 12.4@110mph with 1.7 60' because that is exactly what this 12.8@110mph would equate to if the 60 foot improved .25 tenths. It's just not realistic.
On a normal track, expect to see 370Zs with these types of bolt-ons running 13.2-13.4s@105-106mph and 6MT with slicks to push into the 12s. I don't want people thinking this type of performance is the norm because it's far from it.
Oh and the 370Z is definitely a faster car than the 350Z HR.

I did not hear about the accord running 13.5, could you kindly post a link to the source?
I am also surprised that you know of this small town track, considering you are from KS.

Never said it "discredits" the run, but you of all people should know that this 370Z's numbers are far from the norm. 9 out 10 370Zs with the same modifications will run significantly slower. This is also the same track that a bolt-on 98 Maxima with a VQ30DEK is running 12.6s@109mph NA and a 335i with 3psi increase in boost is running 13.1@109mph with a 2.4 60'? A 2.4 60'? Am I to believe that it's typical for a 335i with a very mild boost increase is capable of 12.6s@109mph with a more typical 2.0 60'?

110mps trap speed is awesome! and im not trying to stir this whole HR vs VHR bull$hit but VEETEC has had trap speeds of 109 mps in complete stock form heres the link "https://my350z.com/forum/drag/418694-i-had-a-frustrating-yet-impressive-day-at-the-track.html" .
i believe racing 350z of all years is a drivers race eventhough the HR and VHR have the the extra power to edge out a DE you cant say that the DE will never win. HR and VHR are too close imo, most people dont know how to drive their cars anyway

Negative DA's can happen in the most of the country, but I would have to believe that they are more common (and prolific) in Canada. If you are able to run on one of these days as opposed to the common 2000' DA found in the summer..........the difference can be pretty staggering (2-3+ mph).

How can you say this isnt the norm? I bet you that at any of the 2 quick tracks in MD these numbers could be replicated. Without seeing 20, 30, or 40+ 370 times and their respective mods to figure out a norm your comment is incorrect. You say 9/10 wont do this? Ok now back it up with 10 other simialiarly mod'd autos and prove yourself.
I think that gears in an auto that can hook decent will always pull times like this, the traps will vary some.

I have only seen a handful (or less) of members not magazine 370 dragstrip times.

Cecil/MIR=Win..........I know someone (from honda-tech) with an Integra type-r (normally a 14.5-14.7 car 94-95) ran a 14.1 at 97 at Cecil (bone stock).
That being said, Dave B, it isn't the track. Anywhere where negative DA's (and well prepped) can have staggeringly fast times.

My buddy ran 14.1 @ 97mph @ CRAPITOL in a stock Type R yeeeeaaaaaarss ago his one and only pass not his car- so you see good drivers come out on top at any track
Like I mentioned above with tracks here in MD, you dont see a lot of ET difference but the traps change.

I see no 104+ mph on both those two links except 2 cars, this one that did 110, and another 108. Sorry, but it's all in black and white, facts are facts. Most of the cars in those topics ran 13s but 102-104 traps.
Like Dave said, the norm with normal drivers will not see faster than this. The 110 is a odd-ball.

1) Amazing DA
2) Fast track
These times are great times legit, but they're not the norm. If people think 370Zs are 12.8@108mph+ rides with a couple of bolt-ons, they're sadly mistaken and will be very disappointed when their Z turns 13.2-13.4 with the same mods. As for the gears, I don't buy it for a second that they are having a huge influence on ET/MPH. The car already comes with a 3.7 gear set and 7 speeds. It has plenty of torque multiplication the way it sits. This isn't an undergeared 96-98 Cobra with a terribly tall 3.27 gear set that does 50 in 1st, 73 in second, and 110mph in 3rd.
