Forged Z 1st Run, Low Boost
SICK! i rember driving next to you on the 101 south late one night. I noticed your gauges and figured a roadster couldnt be that fast, even boosted. I tried to get you to boost.. than you dookied on my z... haha That was forever ago. Im pretty sure it was pre transmission swap...definitly pre vertex. I also remeber your car at hot import nights last year, parked in the section with all the supras and boosted G35s. You have come a long way. What ever happend to the new rim idea? Wernt you looking for works meisters or volks?
Congrats non the less.

Scottsdale car club with Jason. He said they will be very lenient.
Thanks man! I have made a lot of changes to the car. I also have a BBK being installed and new wheels and tires on order. As for show wheels, I will be getting those when expenses for our new house have calmed down a bit! Between the car and the new house (keeping both houses) I'm feeling pinched. I'll probably be looking for show wheels in about 2-3 months.
Thank you, sir!
LOL. I read that and was like "WTF!" Then I realized he was dreaming. I double checked the official best times. He should to, for a reality check!

Here is the BBK I bought a few weeks ago, in Red. It will be installed whenever I take the car back to Intense.

I ordered track wheels and tires for now. I officially own 3 sets of wheels and tires, so I'm going to wait a bit for a fourth set!

OK, so we took her out for the first time since completion of the build. Since it is a convertible, we only get 1 run and then we get kicked for running lower than 13.5.
We ran low boost, tuned for 91 pump gas. Ran BFG TA Drag Radial 255's @ 15psi. The torque converter is WAY too loose for the power. I'm thinking about going back to a stock TC, since the car makes enough power to launch fine with that. We will raise the rev limiter to 8000 and take her back to a track soon. We'll probably run on low boost a few more times, then turn it up to 25PSI when we have some more feedback on the car.
A special thanks to the following individuals and shops for their help.

Han, Darren, Pete, Tyler, Greg, and Zack from Intense
Jason from Pro-EFI
Chris/Inzomniac
Chet from SRD
Tyler from Intense is the driver as well.
Not bad for the first run!

We ran 11.61 the other day, but we still can't leave under boost. We will turn the boost up and run again soon. The car is pushing the front tires across the staging beams before we can even get to 2500rpms. Stall is 4200 or so and boost comes in at 4000, so we are trying the new stickier tires to see if we can get the rpms up on launch. Right now we have to launch around 1500-2000rpm, which is a very weak launch.
Thank you!
I had plans to run it with high boost (25 PSI) next weekend, but I have to go out of town on business, so I'll have to reschedule.
I'll post a new thread and a link to it when I do run with high boost. I also have new wheels and tires on. I haven't taken any pictures, but they look pretty aggressive and I like them. Also, they are lighter, wider, and stickier, so I'm thinking they'll help!
