Default Track results from this weekend

Took my G/F's Z to the track again this weekend and wanted to share the results.

Little background on the car.
'08 350Z base
K+N Intakes
cat delete's
JWT Clutch/flywheel
Cobb AP/racetuner

All passes on stock size Nitto 555 street tires

My previous best last year had been a 13.53@ 105 (8.79 1/8th) My average times were in the 13.6 range.

I know i've seen some HR cars run better ( and worse ) than this but I feel that's about all the car had due to traction an wheelhop issue's I was dealing with. Getting the car to leave wasn't to bad ( best 60ft was 2.01 last year) but second gear was horrible with the open diff.

So 2 weeks ago we installed one of Injected Peformances Rear Diff Brace's. I heard about this through a buddy of mine and decided to give it a try. Took about 10mins to install, and here are the result's. Now I want to stress there were NO other changes to the car...

Best
2.000 60ft
8.65@ 83 1/8th
13.34@ 105 1/4

Rest of the passes looked like this

13.36-105
13.38-105
13.39-105
13.40-105
13.43-104
13.43-105
13.44-105
13.49-105
13.51-105

I'm very pleased. The differance was in the second gear shift, even if I spun or wheelhopped the car picked up time. Future plans are to install a LSD and then I'd like to try some other suspension mods and maybe some DR's in the future. Big shout out to Injected for thinking outside the box and coming up with a cool product.

Nice reply, to answer your question's I have my own car it's an 05 STi that's ran 11.73@ 117.

Reason for me driving the car is because she is the track photographer at our track and was busy taking pictures, I was having a bit of fun while she was working.

Last she does drive the car. She just bought it Jan of 09, it's her first stick car ever, and she has been 13.74@ 105 in the car.

Boose, not sure about the DA, it was a very nice day but we were down to take photos and I never checked on it.

13.3 in a mod'd 08' IMO is no bueno...sounds like you may have a slow track/bad DA though

2.00 60ft is solid

trap seems low for mods

I agree from what i've seen on the forum. The MPH, i'm leaving the car in 3rd and crossing the line and have bumped the limiter a couple of times. I tried shifting to 4th several times but I just dont seem to have time to recover from it. I think a little less or more gear would do wonders. A clean hook in 2nd would make me smile.

The 1-2 shift is just off the tracks concrete pad and there is just no traction there. I'd love to try a few parts on the car but as it's not mine it's up to her as to what she buy's for it. But nothing says I can't buy a few things LOL.

Good times, launching isn't easy. Funny enough my wife drove an STI till she got her G35. Strange...

Anyway, sounds like you're a good driver too! Did you have any clutch issues?

We installed the clutch a year ago this coming weekend and it's done great so far. I try not to hot lap the car more than twice at the track, we'll see how it goes when we get a DR on the car though.

Thanks guys.

it'll hold up great. my buddy was cutting 1.6s and 1.7s for about 2 years on his JWT clutch/flywheel with approx 450whp 425tq. it really was a good setup for that power level.

That's good to hear, I doubt she'll ever want much more HP than it is making now.
