Default Drag radials

Ok i have a quest about drag radials :skidmark
i know that the Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial 2 are a great drag tire, i 've been told the may be to aggessive for a 350 by some muscle car guys and i should look at the BFG'S OR NITTO'S, has anyone used the MT's, i want to know how they handle on a normal launch, slipping the clutch and grabbing, just lauching it hard, and how the drive train handles the grip.

Stock trans and axles. Os Giken Clutch set-up. Anywhere from 4700rpm launches on the coldest days to close to 6000 on the hottest of days. Best 60' was in the 1.84 range from memory.

15x8 +25..........5x114.3 (4.5"). With the soft sidewalls it wasn't a problem on the relatively narrow wheel.

I had wheel hop and a bit of tire shake running my Hoosier QTP's @ 14psi. Nothing to be worried about though. Just get out of it if it doesn't feel right. I get some bouncing at the top end compared to running on my BFG Drags.

I run a progressive spring. I believe it helps a bit with weight transfer. The pros can interject on that.

I also have wheel hop depending on how I launch. I'd like to switch to DR's and smaller rear wheels. Then I should break into the 12's.

I checked the rear bushing and it is broken but not destroyed. In any case I will be getting the solid diff bushings and the DR. The tire hop is embarassing and not going through that episode again..

Thanks for posting that up! I just posted over there. I'd be interested in picking one of these up. But I'll have to see whats involved in getting it to work with the finned diff cover.

Also, check out 350zmotorsports.com, they have solid bushings at a great price. I ran the SPL bushing (didn't have them in stock at 350zmotorsports at the time), but the mounts made a huge difference on my car, all wheel hop gone!
