Default MT Street radials, speed rating?

How much speed can these tires handle? or meaning you won't go faster than xxxmph with these on?

well it's at the strip but not on a 1/4 mile.....doing a 1 kilometer(2.5 x 1/4mile) sprint.
I did run them to 158mph on 2.3bar last time out but kept hitting my speed limiter. With out the speed limiter it will surely be more than 160mph.
Do you think it will be safe?

160 shouldn't be a problem, but going to want to keep it dead straight at that kind of speed. There are people who clear 160mph in the 1/4mi at that type of speed on MT DR's.

there isnt a top speed per say with those tires, they are just not meant for extended runs. Thats why there is no speed rating

The plan is to go over there with the same tires with different pressures rather than a extra set on the trailer. "Extended" 1km runs last 21/22 seconds

Using the M/T drag radials on a 1/4 mile run, I've seen cars go over 200mph. BUT thats with a well prepped(sticky) track and lower tire pressure. When I drive to the track with my M/T DR's on and the tire pressure is at about 26-28psi, it gets a little little loose after 100mph. Nothing major but you can feel the difference.

Marra..what tire pressure did you run when you went 158?

We're running on a abandoned airfield, converted to a strip. The track is as even as can be.
Pressure was 2.3bar(33.3psi) dropping it down to 1.4bar(20psi) for the 1/4 miles......you think that's right?
No drifting at all. Next time round, with out the speed limiter hopefully I'll be "OK"

IMO its going to be trial and error on the getting the correct psi. When I run the 1/4 mile I go with between 11-15psi based on how the track is

Cool, will give it a go at lower pressure. I am heading out to the track next week.

Now I must find a way past the speed limiter. I am sooo disappointed with the Haltech not able to remove it.

Never said they claimed to do so, but I assumed it would.

ECU reflash isn't available, only local thing available is the unichip:......I heard disconnecting the speedo wire might disable it?
