So I don't get why Car and Driver left the 370Z out of its shoot-out versus the new Mustang GT, instead they included the Hyundai.

 

Theyre legit, the owners post frequently on the 370 site, unfortunately there are few 6MT's in the 12's, our best times are from the autos.

I just purchased a 2009 touring and can't wait to take it to the track. Ive taken my other z's that I owned, this one will be no different.

if you want to go by reported times then DE is the king still. if you want to go on potential VHR is King. if you wanna go by smack talkers then the HR wins.

But since you brought it up, if you want to start talking about bolt ons, then it comes down to what you have done and how good you can drive. There aren't nearly the number of HR's out there as there are DE's. Same goes for the 370Z. If there were as many 370Z's as there were DE 350Z's, I am sure someone would have been good enough to run a 12.8-12.9 stock.

I have owned both the DE and HR. Just look at my stock times, and you will see a noticable difference between the two.

I would love to buy a 370Z and take a run at high 12's, but I am too busy raising a large family these days, so maybe one day down the road. The kids miss going to the track as much as I do, it seems.

 

I would gladly thrash, ummm drive, someone elses at the track.

Here is what I have a problem with. 350z HR people talking big about how the 370z is not faster then the 350z HR. they say that since there arent times to back it up the 350z HR is faster. well didn't that chart just turn that around on the HR people? if you go by just the times posted on this site DE > HR but we know that isnt true. some HR people live in dream land. those are the people i have a problem with spouting their non sense. these are people who think their precious HR can achieve 330whp with boltons. i dont want people who really dont know to be misinformed by morons. if they spout their BS i will refute it, plain and simple. I have no hate for the HR Z why would I? I love the Z33 platform and I'm pretty darn proud of Nissan getting such great numbers from a 3.5L V6.
