First runs in my BP 350Z after tuning.
So I decided to attend the TNL event in cincy this evening and it went great. It was a lot of fun even if I didn't run as well as I could.
1st mistake, using the 2 step on street tires... Sounds good... people cheer... No traction!
That run was a 14.7 at 121 3.6 60'
Next run, regular launch at 3700 rpm.
Ran a bolt-on C5Z06, ran a a 12.4 @ 126 bouncing off the limiter across the line.
Next Run was against Boosted Civic Hatch, Launched 3500, Hooked well, best run of the night.
12.2 @ 131 2.0 60' short shifted 4/5 and crossed in boost in 5th.
Final Run was elimination Run and It popped out of gear on the line, rolled through the clicker 2.8 60', 13.6 @ 125.
Switching to a DR and tuning the 2nd gear boost limit, more seat time, all of this will help me shave considerable time off my ET.

Awesome! I have been down to that event before, hopefully I'll be out sometime when you run again, would love to see your car whip on some people. Videos and pictures are always cool to look at as well. Good luck with the rest of the TNL season!

I wish I was whipping up on people. I lost damn near every race. There are some fast cars, and was running in a 11.5-12.5 ET Times class. I had almost as much fun on the highway on the way home, that is where my setup is just scary awesome. 10-11 second cars are fun on a 40-140 highway run and in that case I just pull harder.

yes its a DD, Sea Level, 30.15"hg, 0 wind, Its very much a highway car right now, and to be honest its more suited for a time attack than drag racing. Im really thinking a 3.3 setup would help.

I ran last night but unfortunately my clutch started to make funny noises as I came up to the line.
I launched anyway but called it the night, did a 12.2 @128mph 16psi - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_hKq...ature=youtu.be

12.36 @ 123.5
Better start, lighter, I was ahead but I was in an awkward out of gear but not enough time to shift to 5th situation crossing the line. The next run I shifted early and carried boost through the traps in 5th and was able to pull off a slightly better 60'
It's humbling to say the least, because this is very much unlike any of my prior driving, corner entry, braking, car control and handling have always been my direction, but this is just plain fun and a new challenge. With some coaching from Hal at the airport event I hope to break 2sec 60s on street tires and cut my ET by 1/2 second.
