Smile First drag race, blood still pumping 350gt/g35

A cpouple of friends finally convinced me to come out to the local strip today. In a nutshell "addictive" i definitely want another go. I may not have run well but meeting fellow car enthusiasts who where really friendly and helpful made it a fantastic day.

I drive a 2003 5AT Skyline 350GT. The car had Compomotive 18" rims, and I Pirelli PZero Assiymetrico tires on the rear 255/45/18. Got about 4 runs in! I launched by hoding down the brakes and revving to 2500rpm before releasing the brakes. First run vs best run below.

Now for the track conditions
4865 feet above sea level
80F off the strip but around 88F on the strip
4mph wind from the side
30% humidity

0.9910 RT 0.6700
3.2345 60' 2.6927
16.2500 ET 15.5590
91.3043 MPH 90.9935

How can I improve to get better times, mainly my 60' time? Taking in the track conditions how well did i do?

If you think a straight liner got you pumping, go try a road course next.

I'm thinking he is going to have to go a ways from Zimbabwe to find one, though.

Done both even on two wheels.

Nothing IMO compares to having 1320 feet to smash someone. Both require skill I respect both. First 60ft is 90% of the run.

In my experience those that bash drag racing suck huge d!ck at it.

OP at least you had fun.

Its a different kind of rush. If it counts the track was open to drag competitors so i got about 4 laps in. Yes it was fun and i can see how close passing can give you a rush! Suffice to say both where great.

I love the assumptions people make. We do have a track about 15 miles from where I live.

Only track I could think of in Southern Africa was Kyalami.
