Oh my god !!!! 12.419 @ 109.52 1.642 60' !!!
I think the car covered by water was baptized, reborn
Ok, I arrived late because it looked like it was going to rain. I started some 12.5's as a warm up. 12.515, 12.510 w a 1.680 60', 12.500 w a 1.691 60'. Then I got serious 12.497 @ 109.32 w a 1.708 60', then I do a 1.673 60' but miss second gear. Sh*t, with a 1.673 60' would have been a 12.470 for sure. I go right back to the starting line & have a short talk with one of the starters. I told him that I was pissed with missing 2nd. & I'm here to break my record. He told me to heat my tires more.
I heat them till tons of white smoke appears, then go to the starting line. I didn't even look at the lights, just the tach. My reaction time was .718(don't care I come out at over 5k rpm, after shifting second I see on the board a 1.642 60' then I'm thinking no way must be 1.692. That was good enough for me to try shifting the remainding gears as quick/smooth as possible. The girl at the time slip booth had a smile as I pull up. She knew that I was trying for something good.
I look at the time slip & yes it WAS 1.642 60' & a 12.419 time, a new 1/4 record.....
I thanked and shook hands with all 3 starters.......

Oh, there was only one other Nissan there. It was an early 2000 sentra SE-R that almost beat me. He did a 12.6 1/4. Great for a Sentra.....

What driving. This is drag racing. You sit on your Tokhis and push on the gas pedal for a few seconds!
I kid the drag racers. As to your driving, an extra big Mazel Tov.
(I had to look these up in a Yiddish dictionary, so don’t start answering back or I won’t be able to keep up)

Alberto
I really liked your answer to me in the mid-Atlantic section.
It took me a while to get it because I always thought that kid was Alberto jr.
Once I got it, it was a great response.
