how do you AUTO's launch, i was thinking of power braking it up to like 3000rpms and letting of the brake real quick and seeing if i can get a good launch out of it?? let me know what u all do?

haha of course on auto the shifts r slower

on the is300.. it's better to stick with the auto than semi-auto ..

it's way slower

That's exactly what I do.. I've tried it both with my TCS on and off and suprisingly, it does better on my track with it on. You can't go over 3000rpms, because it just spins. It's a fine line for me.
Hey, i haven't tried the manual in mine...would it make any difference? This is the first auto I've owned.

I always turn TCS off. Manual mode is .2sec quicker and trap speed is 2mph faster then full auto.

Thanks, I'll have to try that! I need all the pointers I can get .... I've never even driven the manual mode in the Z. I want to try and break my 97.93MPH time without any MODS. It took me about a month to break the habit of reaching for the clutch. BTW, why is manual mode faster than the computerized automatic?

In manual mode it revs to 6900rpm. Unlike full auto 6600rpm. How many miles do u have on your Z?
