Default Englishtown Raceway 2-29-2004 13.9

Went to my first drag strip in my life today. It was pretty fun ended up doing 9 runs. There seemed to be a million hondas and integras doing 15.XXX or higher runs. Anyways i drive an automatic and im pretty much all stock. Only thing I have is a injen CAI which i doubt most people in the forum will even say helps me since they even say that ill lose HP with that intake but wutever. anyways ill post my time slip. I think it mite be the fastest Automatic time slip posted at a track. Lemme know if it isnt cause id like 2 know. But i think will a faster reaction time, ill get much better 0-60 and i think ill be capable of 13.8 or so for my time.

Where is LI Motorsports? nice time btw. I ran 9 times and wow... i realized how much I hate the stock tires. Im almost certain that our car will get atleast .1-.2 seconds better with just tire upgrade, not even wider rims. anyways im curious if the .1 sec difference is cause of a CAI....

9 times?! I'm wasting my time at Island. On a good day I can get 1 run per hour in.

Every .1 second improvement in 60' time equates to about .15 sec in the 1/4. On decent street tires you can probably get conistent high 1.7xx or 1.8 60' times - but the sacrifice is that you can't do it on tires with no sidewall (19 or 18") unless you have a BIG contact patch (read: very wide).

I got 9 runs in within 2 hours... I arrived there at around 3 or so, and they stopped at 5. There were alot of oeple there, its just at like 415 ish alot of people left. so they didnt really care so me and probably 30 cars were just running back 2 back 2 back quarter miles. Its probably really packed in the morning. and when i get new tires im proabbly gonna get 19x10 in the back so im guessing thats gonna be enough for me 2 get some more grip on the ground.

LI Motorsports is in Suffolk Long Island. Remember bigger rims put more lbs=slower times. Really light 18s and slightly wider should do the trick.

well for the looks i think that 19z with a slight drop just look amazing on the 350z, so im thinking really light 19z like the RH cp-f tune or wutever which is 19x9 19x10.5 and they weigh 19lbs and 20lbs repectively. My friend with an M3 could only run a 13.9 on the track that I was at so hes pissed that I can run the same time cause he swears up and down my car is slow so me, him, this guy with a supra and another with nsx are gonna head on out in a week or 2. ill tell u the result then ^_^
