Thread moved. And don't forget, more rated hp doesn't always mean more power at the wheels.

Why are you stereotyping? Get a clue.

That sure is a blanket statement...I KNOW you don't trap more than I do.

And as far as the Mach 1 owner....he is ignorant to think that. Better gearing/ less weight make a difference.

well, ive seen stock mach's trap 100 and i've seen them trap 105+. whre are you in florida? I want to see how your 105 fairs at the strip against me

btw...when did you run 105 in florida? With only a CAI and in the current conditions, I would have to say either you are full of **** or you are full of ****

Doesn't really sound like "domestic owners," more like 1 specific Mach 1 guy. That's a good run though.

trap as high as you want its all about the et who cares what you trap. ive seen civics pull much better time than me with a significantly lower mph.

is anyone missing the point here? There are a few guys on this board with full exhaust, plenum...all the ****. They are trapping at what? 105-106 tops in good weather. This guys says he trapped 105 in florida where are DA's are in the mid 2000' range. Next thing you know he is going to say he should have taken his amp and subs out

The trap is an indication of power. ET is an indication of traction or more importantly your ability to launch your car. People who lose stoplight and drag races because they lack the skill to launch their cars like to fall back on trap speeds. "I don't know how to drive but my car makes more power". That's why lots of people race "from a roll", too, which I don't understand either.

The Mach could trap at 130 but it wouldn't matter if he couldn't get it moving. Just ask the Supra guys.....
