Default First drift event in 350Z

In the last year I have been doing drift events in my 240SX, but that car is up for sale now so I ran my 350Z instead. Here in Phoenix, NASA has a US Drift Practice group that run in conjunction with the HPDE and road race events they hold. This event was at Phoenix International Raceway on their 1.5 mile roadcourse.

All I can say is DAMN! My Z is 100% stock except for a muffler, and it was hanging with all the 240SX/Silvia guys running SR20DETs, 2-way diffs, suspension etc. It was a little hard in areas with quick transitions; the suspension is too soft stock, but overall it was a lot of fun. The VQ35 was by far the best part.. instant throttle response, great control and tons of torque. Turns 1-4 at PIR are 3rd gear, from 3,000rpms and up.. no problems with power at all. I shredded my RE040s, and had to borrow some 17x10 FN01RCs w/Falken ST115s for the last session. Tose St115s have a TON of grip, and no chunking.. awesome tire.

Yeah, I was a little disappointed about that. Another guy is making a video and he's a Z owner, so surely he'll put more Z33 stuff in it. That video should be ready in a week or two.
