Thanks og, I have an 08 and dont have any probs with my e brake. Guess the more u use it the more it wears down.

^^I feel like my welded diff is about to go out but i understand why. It had weak welds so before the end of the week I hope to swap to a new welded LSD before i break my old one. I decided to just swap them ahead of time and re do them every so events. Since i got FI now it goes a little rougher on it. No need to maintain .

As for the Ebrake goes. I have barely use my ebrake for drifting and the reason why is cause it just doesn't work, i bought my car almost new ...a lady had it before me... and i dont know what is up with it it will not lock. stock ebrake sucks anyways at least mine besides parking blows. i have re adjusted the cable and still worthless oh well. time to go CNC Hydro soon!

^how much power do you have? personally, i wouldn't rock a welded in anything with more than 200hp. i'd spin out non-stop.

the oem ebrake sucks. if you tighten it up and make an extended slip-on lever it works much better, but still sucks and isn't able to take the repetitive abuse.

welded diff is great for n/a z, but if you pushing a buncha power its time to upgrade to 1.5 or 2 way diff

just finished installing my k-sport hydro ebrake in my s13, it works alright at the moment but i think i still needa bleed it better

Haha I was doing terrible. You were the smoke machine lol. Not sure if I'll be able to make a mineral wells event before I retrain and get stationed somewhere else (Air Force), but I'd like to. Aaron throws amazing events. Super chill and always has challenging courses.

As for my stock ebrake. I bought my Z with about 58k miles on it. It's never locked my rear wheels no matter how hard I pulled it. I would use it every now and then for scrubbing speed or just to remind me how terrible it worked. I'm pretty sure I've stretched the hell out of the cable, I've tightened it about three times now and hardly have to pull it up for it to feel really tight, but the car will still slowly roll back on a hill. I have to pull on it as hard as I can just to keep it from moving while parked. I wouldn't be surprised if the cable snapped some time soon. Could just be worn shoes but either way, it sucks.

Glad I'm not the only one with ebrake woes, after buying my car first thing I figured out was that the stock handbrake is crapola. OG I really liked the way your pbm hydro install came out looking and working, but had every intention to try not to cut and weld into this car to much haha I guess ill wait and see what happens. For now ill just have to keep parking my car and putting it into gear in fear of it rolling back lol, besides that car feels great I love drifting the Z.

^^where your wheels locking up at all just with the extended lever? Did you adjusted the breaks as well as the ebrake line? just wondering cause my ebrake blows lol


As for the welded diff spin outs aren't that bad, i have learned pretty good how to control it to the point where i barely spin out at all. I do though want to upgrade to a 2 way LSD in the near feature.

Right now I'm guessing im at 380whp but i have not dyno it yet. Just race a couple fast cars lol. Hopefully once i do get a dyno i'll post numbers and such..

yeah, it would lock them up when i'd throw it sideways. but if i was going straight they wouldn't lock up at all. i only slightly adjusted the cables. left everything else alone.

Does you all's SLIP and ebrake light come on while your drifting?

I noticed that mine will come on every once in awhile but when i turn off the car and turn it back on it goes away.

sometimes the slip does but not e brake but double check your brake fluid make sure its full when i lost some brake fluid the slip and e brake light would turn on just after a bump
