Default Drifting The Nismo....

Anyone Notice how its super hard to drift it?....DO to the fact all it wants to do is grip....the only time it can even slide around is when is wet pavement....Any ideas on how to get it to drift around in the dry would be awesome....I was thinking getting some crappy tires on some stock rims...since these T1R's grip super nice once there warmed up....

+1 on the should be fine, otherwise get some skinnier tires, less sticky tires.

If you're on stock wheels, your tires shouldn't be that wide, seems like you could get it to slide

I have alot of experiance with the S14....super easy to get massive angle and a high entry speed....drift around town and up the mountain in it alot....very comfortable gettnig sideways...but for some reason the Z just wants to stick and not get sideways....gets super fustrating...

i have never had a problem getting my stock 03 touring to hang out sideways any time i wanted it too... the only thing that may hold me back from getting angle before the turn is the fact that the ebrake engages the abs on the rear wheels, and i have not yet removed the abs. i'm not too expirenced with clutch kicking my z to get angle before the turn yet, so i cant speak for that, however its worked great on every other car i've drifted. Maybe you just need to be more aggressive with the car, the front end will stick and hold no problem when going aggressive into a turn, i havent expirenced understeer in my Z yet, so its just up to you controling the throttle and turning into the turn correctly.

I can initialize a drift anytime I want to with my NISMO Z. I have 255/295 Falken Azenis RT615's and they grip when you want them to grip, and slide when you want them to slide. Very predictable tire especially with the suspension set up (stock) of the NISMO 350 Z.

OP tell me this is a joke lol theyre friggin T1R's, they dont provide crap in the way of grip..theyre street tires. just find some nice open pavement where there is NOTHING TO HIT (thats an important bit)...jab the brakes to load the front end, when you hit the brakes turn the wheel...dump the brakes and floor it and it'll slide....I promise. I'm not a drifter but seriously T1R's arent holdin you back from sliding the car, its that pesky comon sense thing which is holding ya back. find a parking lot.

Hey simann you wouldnt happen to be in a black nismo and live around murfreesboro wouldya? lol
