Default drift rims??

What do you guys use as your drift spares? I may pick up some S15 silvia spec-R rims rims as spares but they're only 16x7s...do you think they would still work? If not what are some cheap drift rims i can buy?

i miss my 240

lol 16x7's would look straight up goofy on a 350z, especially if you had 18s or 19s in the front.

if youre looking for a cheap decent sized wheel, try checking tire rack for the MB motoring battles. i believe they come in 18x9.5 +15 and +23. so while not amazing for a 350, still not too bad for under 200 a wheel. im going to grab some 17x9.5 +15s for my s13 shortly.

Get yourself a set of 350Z track wheels. They are super light and take alot of abuse.

Default Mb wheels!

SERIOUSLY240 pointed out what i was gonna suggest........

MB wheels: Discount tire dot com sells them for cheap and with free shipping. Hard to beat for a wheel that can take the abuse.

I would suggest the MB Weapon's and MB Competitions wheels!

offered in 17 x 9 and 18 x 9 sizes with great offsets. either 17 or 15 respectively.

LIGHT WEIGHT:
Another great point is these wheels are LIGHT! yup, they are very light weight and i love my MB's for this when at a drift event, cause changing tires bites! and when your swapping MB's its very very much noticeable how much lighter they are!
On my crappy scale it says my 17x9 +17's are 19-20 lbs. could be off a pound, but they are significantly lighter than stockers, but have the offsets and width needed for drifting.....

OFFSETS: - See first pic.
They sell +17 on their 17x9's
and
+15 ON their 18x9 wheels.

MB COMPETITIONS - Room for longer studs:
Also, take a good look at the 4th pic - those are MB Competitions.

If you notice, they have holes for longer studs in between the lug nut mounting holes if you need.

The holes are small and you have to drill them out bigger. there is a recession that drills out easy. but as they stand, the holes are not M12 size, so they need to be drilled slightly larger.

Thus those wheels can get mounted with out you having to remove your spacers. Just an option as I have seen some people buy the +27 offset ones and use their 20mm spacers with them at the drift events because they already have the spacers installed.
They roll with stockers with spacers daily kinda thing....... just some FYI...

Also, the "MB Drifter" wheels have this extra hole in between feature as well...they are offered in wider 9.5 inch width too....see last pic...(5th pic)

I rock 17 x 9 + 17's in the rear - Bronze MB Weapons.

NA Z spins 17's at a drift event very well over 18's and the light weight of the wheels helps......

I'm in the process of buying 6 more MB wheels pretty soon.......

Drift MB weapons - 1st pic
AutoX set up - 2nd pic

The AutoX set up pictured is 17x9 +27 in front and +17 in rear.

The drift set up i use +17 rear.

i may have to check these rims out. the only reason i was going to get those rims was because a friend of mine were selling them with tires fot $150 for all 4 but i decided to get some real rims

i guess im going to check out the MB rims and some others but my budget would be around $500-$650 :/

Id also like 18s but i think 17s would be easier to slide like you said,

There are some 17x10 RPF1's for sale in the classifieds with around +18 offset. Very nice drift or autoX wheel. Too bad I have 18" R Comps.

yes....you can run these all four corners no problem.....

all of mine right now are 17 x 9's and they will fit and work on all four corners no problem....the 18x9s will fit as well.

i suggest either the +17 or +15 offsets for them on all 4 depending on which ones you get.

also, check craigslist and local car forums.......people are always selling MB wheels......

i have a set of the mb weapons wheels and they are great. they are cheap, durable, light, and are easy to replace if damaged. hell i even left them on as my daily driver wheels and i sold my sportmax 006 wheels that were much heavier. i was gonna buy another set of the mb weapons in an 18 and have them coated in gloss black. ill post pics when i get them done.

Yeah, MB weapons are not bad. I like the design and good sizing for the S and Z chassis. I sold mines for the RPF01s.

The 17x9 are about 21 lbs
18x9 are about 24 lbs.

My 17x9.5 RPF01s are only 17.6 lbs.
Price difference, is about $75 more per wheel.

If you look at it from a performance stand point, its very worth while.
Very little money, for HUGE performance gain.
