Default heel-toe problems

It was raining today so I decided to take the Z out for some fun. I found a nice open lot and did some 180s, doughnuts, and I was trying to ebrake drift but I noticed that my accel is naturally more depressed that my brake pedal.

I was experiencing difficulty heel-toe shifting so I decided to practice only that technique for the rest of the time I was there. I ended up calling it quits after I wasn't able complete one successful heel-toe technique...

Any other Z driver having the same problem on stock pedals? I'm considering purchasing an aftermarket gas pedal to have it leveled with my brake pedal. Anyone have insight?

There are threads where others have modified the pedals....adding height and width to the gas pedal by welding on some plate aluminum...

I personally have the 380RS pedal and it helps a lot..

A road course driving class does a world of wonders!!! Costs more than any Youtube clip/article but is well worth it.

I got my pedals from Autovation.net. They make heel and toe shifting much easier.

I would if there was a course in or near the 757 area code.

Those pedals don't look even and seem almost like stock config... but to each his own.

Keep practicing.. I have had the 380rs gas pedal for a while now and have yet to install because i have a base model and am missing some snaps.. Long story short is it gets easier with the right practice and time. A parking lot seems like a hard place to practice heel and toe. For me to get it perfect i just kept doing wot 3rd gear runs down into a turn either left hand or right and heel and toe into 2nd.. Also you can try on the highway going from 4th to third. Unlike drifiting this shouldn't get you into trouble as long your sensible with speed!

If you're not keeping that pedal then I'll buy it from you now.

Your "go" pedal should be naturally more depressed than your brake pedal. They are set that way so that under HEAVY braking you can easily heel toe. I have never had an issue with stock Z pedals.

I'm happy for you.

I need a better pedal for these crooked feet I have.

I installed my 380RS pedal a couple of days ago and today I took the Z out for a test run.

I'm still getting used to this pedal setup but the 380 allowed me to put my foot in a better position. Thanks for the input all.
