yes you can......Mine is a nismo 2way and I do it.....mainly because I care more about drifting than I do about autoX'n........
I figure if i ever do get serious about autoX events i would buy a a complete spare diff and swap diffs prior to each event for autoX....
The spare for autoX I would want the 3.7FD out of a G37 like mentioned here:

the 3.7 FD would help at autoX events over my 3.5.

That's brings up a good point. I don't need to upgrade my FD for drifting right?
^ NO....dont...go up...ie 3.7, 4.08, etc...no...
your turbo...so depending if your power is way up there, you may wanna actually drop it down to the 3.3FD out of an autoZ, but that you decide later and or evaluate and decide...

Here is how I adjusted my caster last time it was off on my s13.
I align my car after every two frame pulls. If I adjusted it after every frame pull I think that would just be overkill.
