So I was coming back from cruising and what do I see in my side mirror...a yellow stallion. I slowed down and see two sausages in the car. I love the sound of that race bred engine. It was a Testarossa and damn...those cars are low. I barely could see his head when he was next to me and our cars are pretty low - mind you we have big doors. I hear a familiar sound coming fast behind us. A yellow 05 coupe. I had my camera in my bag in the far back of the hatch so no way was I gonna manage to take a pic. The 05 passes on the turning right lane to cut in front of the 'rossa. The light is red and people behind are just begging for some action. Two 350Z in the front and the 'rossa behind the other Z. I love that yellow colour. I wouldn't want it but to look at it...pretty sweet. I decided to egg him on. I reved my engine hard and high. I didn't want to race him. I just wanted to hear the guy in the back in the Ferrari to join in and make some noise. The counter Z took it the wrong way and as the lights turned green, he left chunks of his tread on the hood on the 'rossa behind him. I'm just rolling off the line and by now, the 05 has flipped 3 gears and well on his way with Esso. Moments pass and the 'rossa is not doing anything. We're like at 70km/h and 100 m up ahead, the light flips yellow. He mashed his pedel and away we go. Roaring up the streets like a crack of lightning. This guy is just walking away from me, but what else did I expect? I just wanted to see what my Z could do and she didn't disapoint me. I've I had a blown motor, damn...for sure I would have been able to atleast make a dent in his ego. I see a cop coming the other direction. Naturally, me being 24 and paying $3400/yr in insurance (1 minor ticket for speeding 15km/h over), I cannot afford any more tickets. I get hard on the brakes and look in my rear view for some cherries to light up. Phew. I guess it was too much trouble to go around the island and try chase a 'rossa and a Z without some help. Anyways...who owns that 350Z? This was at Eglinton and going North bound on Erin Mills Parkway?

Yep- I've seen him around too. I'm usually around Streetsville area- mississauga road and erin mills parkway.

Anyone hit Darknights? I thought it sucked. There were 2 Z's there- and they were both in the same booth. A nice G sedan though with APS and 5 shot NOS.

 

Colour is Chrome Silver. Yeah, you live pretty close to me. I live by Erin Mills and Britannia. I went to the meet last weekend. I was talking to some of the other guys on the G forum and we might have a little mini meet and do coffee or whatever. I'll make sure to post it up if they don't post it here.

btw nourarnaout, you got 20s on your 2003. I'm thinking going big too but tell me about brakes. Did you feel a major difference in normal driving with the added weight? I don't intend to do much racing if any. And alignment. You must have had/have feathering issues. Did you get an alignment done when you got your rims?
How much can I expect to be paying for alignment job? (if you did it)

 

My 20s are the same weight as the stock 18s. With the Falken tires that I have, I felt that the ride is actually better and I didn't feel any difference in performance.

I did have my front tires changed and aligned at 5000 km because of feathering, no problems untill I put on th 20s at 16000 km. I did do alignment just to be safe.

I did my alignment at Wheel and Tire Zone in mississauga for $115 because they did all the warrenty work for 401 Dixie Nissan, so they know the car pretty well and they have the updated alignment numbers.

 

I think i know who your talking about he has a yellow z with vielside lip dropped on prokits. im ususally parked right in front of second cup because i work there. so i usually see all the nice z's and g's that roll by my store
