Default Price for your 350Z?

Hey guys, just wondering which model 350Z you guys have, how much you bough it for, and where you bought it (dealership/city is acceptable)?

I am interested in a 2007 GT M6 Black, and the salesperson is offering it for $58,500 CAD, and I am not sure if this is too high or howmuch I can bring it down.

Thanks in Advance

I have an 06 Z, so can't really compare to the 07 Z.

However, a reasonable deal is to get at least $2,000 CAD or 4% off MSRP (before tax) for the 07 Z. If your sales cannot give you that, then go to another dealer.

The mark up is usually around the 8% range, so 4% is reasonable and the sales person still makes money on your deal.

Good luck.

I am sure you can get at least a couple grand more off of that price.

It will also depend when you are going to purchase. If you can wait till the end of summer you will surely save yourself between $1000-$2000 on top.

(if you dont get the price you want, or they wont deal, Leave!)

A co-worker purchased his '05 brand new from a broker, I believe he paid $54k-$55k taxes in. All things being equal you should look for something around that target. I believe the price diff "new" is marginal.

(if you dont get the price you want, or they wont deal, Leave!)

If your in T.O, we have at least 20 nissan dealers in the GTA. Call them all, someone will want your business.
(Go at the end of the month, when they are desperate to sell)
Good luck man and keep us posted.

Cheers,

R

I sell at Barrie Nissan in Barrie clearly when I get to the office tomorrow I'll work you out a number. Also I can probably be the most knowledgable sales person you see.

But i would say buy it from me I have that car coming in.

Barrie nissan is ok in my books. I would def recommend them.

Thanks to your service dept for a job well done.
(you dont know me but my car was serviced there and I appreciate the good job)

I would take my Z to them for work and service, If they werent 1hr away.

If not, try Dixie nissan. They seem to be top notch as well.

Cheers,

R

barrie nissan.... your website is NO good. why don't you put up the cars you have available right on the site?? How do you people expect to sell cars when no one knows what you even have in your inventory. This is a huge problem in Ontario (across Canada actually)... much better in the US.

In my experience, nissan dealers here in ontario are expecting unreasonable prices for 350z's. too bad. 42K for a 2005 sounds about they would expect - even though it's way off.

Just don't get suckered into a deal because you love the car.

The problem is most dealers that have online inventories is that they are not up to date which can be much more frustrating for a consumer. In regards to you're experience with Ontario dealers expecting too much for 350Zs. I have no idea where you are comparing too but if you’re comparing to the US or Jinder's Auto Palace. The 350Z market is touchy I would expect to pay more for a BMW at a BMW store then a no name place on the corner. The Zs that end up at those locations were often passed by a number of Nissan stores before they end up there so why did the franchise stores not want the car? Lots of reasons, accidents, poor service history, signs of abuse to name a few. In the case of the 2005 35th anni that I have the car is perfect has demo like mileage and less then a year factory warranty missing.

Simply looking at prices on the internet and not looking at the actual vehicles is a really good way to have an uneducated opinion.

Question somewhat related

I am looking at a couple of Zs for sale privately in the US...both are touring models with automatics. Consumer Reports shows the 06 to be a much better car than the 05....is this true?

Depends really. The 35th seems to hold its value the best. But go for an '06 you wont regret it. But if you can hold on a couple of months, maybe you can score an '07!!, for a decent price of course..

Good luck.

the 06's are better for daily driving cause of the extra sound deading and the upgraded projectors, rev up engine (300hp). The con is heavier and feels a bit more slugish in cornering. Both models should not disappoint, but if you are into tracking the car alot, i would get the model before 06's. Since the comfort in those are pretty good anyways.
