how was your drive in today?
how many z's made the journey to work ect. this morning in the Tdot? I put my winters (pirelli sotto zeros) on this Monday.. great timing....no problem crawling in with everyone...by the way, they are a great choice if your in the market for winter tires..
I drove in today. It was alright but very slippery.
Thankfully, I put on my snows on last night. Talk about last minute. I got some Mich...Alpines. They are pretty good.
Have to be very careful with the Z since it has a lot of torque and you can easily spin it around.

Drove with summer tires. Got a flat in one of the winter tires. Been too lazy to patch it up.
But I made it to school and even eat lunch along with some time killer activities and back home without a problem. Just have patience and common sense. Although... I got stuck at Seneca parking lot a couple of times, it's all ice

Why does the Z have heated seats and a block heater if it was not Engineered for the winter?

You dont have to own an italian exotic to care about your ride.
Its called being an enthusiast who cares enough to not torture there car by driving in the harsh winter conditions that Canada is known for.
And if you paid $20k for your Z, well then thats a whole different issue.
My z is worth almost double that, do I qualify?
Thank you come again!
Like Church said, it has absolutely nothing to do with cost. It's partially sentimental value. If you want your car to remain nice, you can't drive it in the winter. I know my car isn't worth much monetarily to someone else anymore, but I've owned it 4 summers now, I've spent close to 60G's on it personally, it was my first car, and I will be damned if the countless hours I've spent detailing and maintaining the car will all be thrown out the window with 1 month of harsh winter driving. I guess it was a lot different for those of us who picked up the car "back in the day" versus the new breed of owner who just want to pick up a cheapie and run it into the ground. So I will laugh at the people who don't give a crap about the Z, and they are free to laugh at me for being meticulous and overvalueing my car.
Well to each his own I guess. Here is some useful reading.

Due to new technologies and better engineered cars, they are built to withstand the winters. Being an Engineer I can attest to it.
Again the question: Heated seats and block heater, Why? To add weight and cost to the vehicle, I don't think so.
