The tax man always wins. I get to claim Nunavut tax for last year. $5k tax credit for nothing at all! :P

I doubt I would have it ready for CSCS. Im going to try and have mine ready for CASC (may 19) but that is pushing it. Maybe you can borrow it for the event or something though.

Well, the fenders don't weigh as much as I had thought/hoped. They are pretty flimsy and don't have much metal to them. They come in at about 8lbs each (my scale only goes to 3kg so I am using a bathroom scale). So Chacal you were right :P

Based on the size and weight of the headlight mold, I would guess the new fender in carbon would be around 1.5lbs, since there are no brackets required. There's plenty of mounting locations so it will hold up fine.

That's about 6lbs per side. hmm. Seems so little, but I don't know how else I could drop 12lbs off the front end...

if you're making your own fender, might as well make it abit wider to squeeze more tire in?

I didn't see a really easy way to make them wider without changing the bumper, which I wasn't in the mood to mess with. Plus for this year my competition tires are only 255s anyway. If I do something silly next year Ill make another set to clear them. This was just to save weight off the front end to try and balance the car back out a bit.

Right now they sit at about 485grams. Probably about 1.5lbs after I reinforce a few parts.

Brings the car weight down to 2735 without door windows. Hatch will have to stay for now to stay above the 2700 I classed the car at.

Pretty impressive there Rob. I would like to get a closer look when do you think you will have both sides done?

I can't beleive you have the car down to ~2700lbs thats nearly 1000lbs lighter than my ZR with all the goodies. Its making me think about losing some weight.

I ditched the twin subs and the masive cf cover now down to one sub box but would need a lot more to go.

dont forget to remove those 2 dead weight of 25lbs each !
the first one is on the front left ,if I remember right it was in front of the tire somewhere there... its a square block of steel.

the second one is in the rear right side in the trunk under the plastic panel..

the car balance can easily be fixed by a corner weight session

Hey guys I was hoping to get your input on a wheel setup that I'm about to pick up. I'm not sure if the offset's are too weak for the Z. They're coming off a 370 and they're exactly what I want here's the specs: 19x10 +38 in the fronts by 19x11 +44 in the rears and the deal includes 15mm spacers up front and 25mm spacers in the rear. I'm not looking for a crazy aggressive setup but a nice concave in the rear would be nice. They're F14 forgestars btw. Any help would be much appreciated as I don't have a ton of knowledge in the wheel department.

with the spacers it sounds like it would be pretty flush with the fenders.

found these today. Damn this kit looks nice on the Z...

Fairlady Z Superleggera

Fender and headlight sit at a combined 2lbs! Going to have to tie the car down so it doesn't float away.

Spent last weekend at the CASC autoslalom driving course. I had an absolute blast! I think I left half my tread in Brampton by the time the weekend was over.

Here's my baby taking a brake with the other RWD cars...
