why don't you get the owner to come pick you up, and then you drop him off?

MTO is why. It's not going under my name (for obvious reasons). Besides, my mom is very "by the book" kind of person. She wouldn't let me drive it until it's insured, registered, and blah blah.

Otherwise I'd tell my friend to drive me there and then drive it back on my old 350Z plates. lol

Hey Homeboys.
I have a stupid question that is not worth it's own thread. I am buying some project kics neo chro lugs nuts because I'm irresistably attracted to shiney objects.
For my wheels, Volk Racing GTV (8.5/9.5 +23) which are not especially extreme, should I get the plain old R26 or should I get the extended R40 lugs? I can see the advantages of extended, but will they look really gaudy and ricey as they will probably stick out past the wheel?

church, the ones you posted should be the R40's, which are the extended ones. Mike, can you snap a pic of the centre of the wheel area so we can see how deep the centre hub is? I would think for either the R40's or the R26's would be nice for your wheels.

what ever happened to the body kit fiasco?

this would be the rear I think.... and I think the front is a little deeper than the rear as far as the centre hub goes.

As far as the body kit goes, when my V2 front arrived damaged I sort of said to hell with all the trouble of doing it right now. I would be a paint and instal **** as well, so I'd have to be prepared to deal with a lot of down time as I nit picked that to death.

Also is the possibility of me going back to school and getting really poor and stop modding/ sell the Z, or staying a dentist, getting really rich and upgrading to something else, so since I have absolutely no idea what the hell I'm doing I'm playing it safe and only spending minimal amounts of money.

As an aside and not related. I also acquired some 10mm spacers today for my rear wheels. I will experiemt with 5 mm on my fronts.

yes I was just gonna say, spacers are needed get those on and snap another pic, what are you lowered on? that first pic looks like it could use a little more of a drop.

you might need a fender roll like me if you use spacers for the rear...and the r26's will look fine on your wheels

Noodledude,
I know our rims were very close to each other in specs. Mine are 19X 8.5 + 24 and 19 X 9.5 +23. I am lowered on Eibach pro kit. Supposedly 1 inch front and rear. How much are you lowered, and how big a spacer did you put in again? How bad was the rubbing?

i had 19x9.5+29 in the rear, and i added a 20 mm spacer in the rear, making it effectively +9 offset.

I have 275/35 toyo's in the back, and the rubbing is on the top of the tire...it doesn't happen all the time, just when i'm going over steep dips on the hwy.

so for you, 10mm spacer would make it +13, and I don't think 4mm would save me from rubbing from the looks of things.

I say just test fit it to see if you like the new stance enough to roll your fenders for it :P I know i'm in love with my new stance, so i'm searching for a place to get my fenders rolled.

here's a pic of the new stance in the rear for reference.
