I know what you mean, the 6-8 of you will never let it go, nag me forever about having a knockoff.. cause beside you guys here, no one would even know the difference
Many of us have owned/ do own knock offs. Just saying from experience, I can see why in the long run authentic is cheaper/better.
Solution to that is simple. Never hit a curb. I've been driving the Z almost 5 years, and I've never hit a curb with the bumper or a wheel. Pay attention to driving and nothing should happen.
Mike drives very SLOW and is scared of wild life like silly wrabbits.

A lot of people on the forum own knockoff stuff, not enough if any actually say how good the product is, It would be great to search for a knockoff vertex for example and find topics of guys buying product from other companies and showing pics with fitment etc.

Seems like you like the Z alot, why buy knockoffs ?
The thing with this forum is people talk trash on the civic's and honda. IT's A CIVIC, its cheap ! Our Z is a high class car. And then you go the bodywork/wheel section. Rota's are such good deals, i can destroy it and buy a second quick ! Damn those Volk's , its so expensive !

I dont have a problem with certain things being knocked off, If I knew 100% that I could buy a vertex knockoff that fit perfectly for half the price I would in a heart beat.. I mean whats so knockoff about the way it looks? physically its exact and thats the main reason im buying it.. not because of some name.
someone please help me remove my OEM shifter - she's a stubborn biatch
dude keep yanking that sucker.. it will come off.. use large vice grips.. grip it hard and hammer it.. make sure youre turning counter clockwise never know.. who cares if you ruin it, youre installing a new one.. yank harder
Follow the DIY in the DIY section. I had no problems with mine. Two vice grip or two slip joints works. Be the rag is thick enough to prevent the teeth of the vice or slip joint to dig in the shift ****.

for me because im a car enthiusis, I hate the idea of someone stealing other's idea and sell their car products. ( plus the fitment is not as good MOST of the time). I tried with one and i took it off after 2 months of use. Most of the popular kit isnt stupidly price. And if you think it is, its because of the replica that made those kit so common nowadays. I have a belief that you gotta pay to be unique, doesnt work in my350z though....
