okay you homos .. i went go karting today at gpk (http://gpkartways.com/) and it was a blast the place was quite well organized, not freezing cold, and you don't leave smelling like nasty gasoline most of our z's are parked now anyways, so why not keep the competitive spirit up and see if the slow *** z owners (hock) would push it or the cocky z owners (david) would put their skills to the test

this is just a feeler thread, so who's interested? i'm thinking sometime in january after the holidays. PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP if you aren't pretty much 90% sure, i don't want a 50 name list with only 5 people showing up oh, and prices and yada yada is on the link above.

btw, I see the thursday's $1/lap special, but how many laps do you get with $25? and how fast do these karts go? I'm expecting 80km or so...

i go there every monday nite guys. they have the 2for1 special $25 for approx. 17lap/each.

 

I'm down. My 2 buddies would probably be in as well.

Only if it's on level 1 power however (25-26 second laptimes)

karts go about 30-40km/h. 80km/h! lmao, you get that if you sit in a 2-stroke

 

lol, yes .. i guess i would be a "level 1" power level .. best lap of the day was 26.2, although the chairs on the karts was shredding my back, so i stopped after 4 sessions. now my back and legs are all bruised :S

i still have a crap load of 2 for 1 coupons which you can use anytime, but the expiry date is dec. 31st, so that's pretty much a write off unless we go this coming weekend or something.

fastest top speed in our group was 31.1 mph, so yeah, it's about 30-40km/h speeds, which sounds slow i guess, but it's still fun on that tiny track

Sasha, yeah i noticed, greg was telling me that he used to hit 30 secs on good days. So I knew the karts when each kart gave me consistently different times.

i know this is short notice guys, and we'll probably still organize another z go karting day in january, but i'll be at GPK today in the afternoon

my buddy wants to burn some 2 for 1 coupons before the 31st, so he just gave me a call and we'll be there this afternoon (saturday, dec. 29th) if anyone is bored and wants to swing by, we'll be the chinese guys trying to break 26 second laps
