Default hello from newbie

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and new to the nissan community.

I have been a long bmw fanatic and after 3 bmw's but I fell in love with the 350z when it first came out.

So I recently purchased myself a daytona blue 350z, it's a great car but the only problem I am having is that I don't know where to get it serviced.

I don't like taking cars to the stealership because I think they overcharge. So would anyone recommend a newbie to a good wrench.

I need to do the preffered vehicle maintenance, the car just passed 49000km.

Really I just want to take the car to a wrench that is very familiar with nissan and the 350z.

I can go anywhere in toronto/GTA, so could anyone recommend a good place

Thanks again.

welcome .. you should add your name to our GTA list as for shops to do oil changes, realistically speaking any monkey can change oil, so i ***** my z out to any shop out there. a few notables in the GTA that you can try (some of whom are on this forum) are:

speedstar - ask for albert - located in markham
gilmans - ask for raymond - located in scarborough
a.r.t. motorsports - ask for patrick - located in markham/scarb

i've been to all 3 of the above and they all did a good job in taking care of my z and changing the oil properly. all 3 stock motul brand oil (if that's what you want). we have a separate thread for which dealerships to goto for oil changes etc., but the only one i have confidence in recommending is barrie nissan, which may be out of your way to get a simple oil change. joe @ barrie nissan always took care of my z, even when he didn't even know who i was.

If you're basing your dealership experiences on the BMW's then I'd say give the Nissan dealer a chance.

Thumbs up Welcome!

I usually get all maintenance completed at Speedstar.

Now, lets see some pics!

Welcome to the Z club!

We've helped out the local and International Z community since 1992! - 99% of the Vehicles we work on are Z's! Plenty of experiencing between my brother and myself - both certified techs and my bro is an ex Nissan Tech - we owe 3 Z's between us!

We are more than willing to help out with the routine servicing and upgrades to any Z32,Z33/G35! We carry our own line of AMS performance parts for the Z and distribute for Z1, JWT, and Stillen in Canada.

Look for a 3 page spread on our Pulley and Rad in the next PAS MAG - we service the Feature Editors 350Z.

The only issue would be scheduling as we are usually booked 6 months in advance for major builds and smaller jobs are slotted in between! We're strictly appointment only.

We stock AMSOIL at our facility! Most use the Mobil 1 due to cost though - does the job!

Buzz us if you have any questions!
