tracks
hey guys .. just wondering what are the best tracks around the GTA.
And if you know if they are open to the public for test and tune or novice laps.
A few of us really want to take it out on a circuit this summer to see how hte Z handle.
thanks

battle endless has regular public track events all summer at shannonville. see here for more info: http://www.battleendless.com/events/index.html
cscs also has public grip events at cayuga.
calabogie is the newest track built, but more technical than the rest. best bet for newbies is to start off at shannonville and work your way up to mosport where there's walls to motivate you NOT to go into a corner too quick.

Scroll down to the Advanced Driver Training section. Gerry Low runs this and it's an excellent venue for learning about your car. This is a very controlled setting.
The open lapping days at TMP are good if you know what you're doing and no hot dog with no respect for other drivers/cars shows up to spoil your day. They have little supervision during the open days - which have nothing to do with Gerry's school.

^^ I went to Gerry's lapping last year. It was a great day, everyone that showed up were very freindly. It is worth getting the instructors package for the extra 50 bucks unless you have some track time already.
If any one here want's to go I will do this one again for sure.

Yeah I saw some Noobs at CSCS last year out on the track, Funny as he...
They could not go around a corner for the life of them.
I want more lessons myself lots to learn then I will be able to hopefully go the bigger tracks and not worry as much about those concrete barriers that can move out in front of you hahah.

it's true .. people laugh at the ppl who think they're hot stuff and barrage through traffic without a care for others. it's usually the same people who rush into the corners too quick and then (in the case of our z's either understeer off the track) or oversteer and spin out either way, the last time i went to a battle endless event, most of the people there were respectful towards each other, signaling when passing, and not being a jerk in the corners.
