Can anyone tell me how to sitch trip computer to metric? Imported a 2003 Enthusiast from US and would like to make the change. Can't find a reference anywhere including SERVICE MANUAL.

You can't. There's not even a KM indicator to illuminate on the trip computer. I believe you need to replace all three meters completely (they are attached to eachother). But i'm not absolutely positive this will work, but I believe it's been done.

But I know where you're getting at, there's no button that will change miles to km like some other cars.

You will need to switch out the gauges.

Is it that easy though? I would have thought the computer would still send signals in imperial.

If it is that easy I may try and find a set through the scrap yard. I already had my gauges out ones changing the dash over to CF. Its not that hard it just takes time.

Sheck4, who was a zr db owner, changed his gauge out at the dealership. IIRC, it was only the trip/fuel/tps gauge...

I thought about this, but didnt think it was worth the expense..

I actually took the whole gauge assembly apart looking for a way to convert it since some systems use a simple jumper wire that can be cut or installed to convert.
Figured that Nissan wouldn't make two completely different units but I couldn't see an obvious way.

I was also told that the ECU provides some info to the gauge pod so the ECU also needs to be reflashed -- but can't confirm this.
