Default I'm replacing my tires... bye bye to road noise.

I've decide to replace my whole 4 tires. This time it's not Bridgeston RE040 but Micheline Pilot sports. My mileage is just about 20k and0 the road roar(noise) is unbearable and tire performs very poorly these days. The front tires have cubbing problem(that's what makes road noise) and only 10% of thread is left for the rears. I almost killed myself when entering highway ramp. Kudos to VDS which saved me that day One day you guys will appricate VDC for saving your life too!!! But don't save your money on tires though...

Anyways, the best price I've found so far for Pilot sports is $450/ea + tax. So total comes to 1800+tax. Ouch..

Why are you changing your tires?? If you had the cupping problem did you get NIssan to look at them and decide what to do to fix them. Do you know of anyone in the Toronto area that has more then 20K on there Z.

Not only me but, Marta(sunset 350z owner) has the same tire problem. I believe her mileage is little more than my 350z. We've waited for Nissan bulletin for very long time but nothing really show up to solve these problems. I've visited quite many Nissan dealership but they said it's because of my 'spiritual driving blah blah blah. Tires are not covered by waranty blah blah..'

Well.. It's almost time to replace my rears too and I can no longer wait for solution from Nissan. Driving is getting dangerous and I don't want my life threatened And also, this road noise is now far excced my patience.

Well I guess that is your decision but I will go after Nissan for a solution. I have almost 13K and the noise is unbearable. Did you drive your car through the winter. What tires and rims did you have on the car during the winter.

Unbelievly, I drove the car with stock tires in winter time.

Simply, there was no traction at all and it was very dangerous. I will buy some decent winter tires for comming winter though.

Hey,

Had my wheels aligned and the tires swapped. Got it back today. The road roar isn't completely gone but it is substantially less than before. The tires are noticably cupped but I'm going to wait it out and see if anything develops. 15K.

Cheers!

I don't know if you know about the 350Z suspension problem which creates the tires cupping and feathering. It will not goes away completely. After a certain miles your brand new tires will be just like the one you took of.

As for US 350z, we get free alignment and many people get new pair of front tires. But the problem still comes back.
