Default intake for 07 +

Hey boys .. changing the oil and air filters today .. and stopped myself at the purchase of my filters to ask you guys first of your thoughts

Anyone have an opinion on the paper or the drop in K/N vs. any of the aftermarket systems out there for the dual intake ?

I really dont see the purpose of the "pop charger" or short ram as the shields on these puppies usually just grab hot air and I havent seen any real CAI for the dual intakes on the 07, thus I am leaning towards keeping it stock with the paper or drop in as Ive read on this site that our OEM is pretty damn on target.

If you were '03-'06,I would have recommended that you stick with the OEM airbox.
But, since you have an HR I would recommend you read this thread.

^After reading that, I would personally get the Dual Popchargers for the HR motor.

the k&n drop ins are not badly priced at all, take 1 minute to install, and have proven to give a 4hp gain across the entire rpm range. i also noticed slightly better fuel economy during my recent 1300 mile road trip. i averaged 26.4 mpg according to the computer during freeway driving, through the appalachain mountains.
