Default Spring Be A Coming...

So, today is not the best representation, but spring is coming up shortly.

I am looking to do a few things to get through the season, most notably brakes. Any locals running or have experience with the Stoptech Stage Two kit? I don't need a BBK and this looks to be the best option to upgrade my OEM brakes.

Any direct experience locally? Generally I hear great things. I have priced them out of Mynismo for about $650 for the entire set up with Hawk Pads. A bit more for the different pads ie NISMO.

Also, kinda curious about a diffuser with my rear add on and Nismo exhaust. This one from the Z store looks pretty good but not sure if it would work.

Thanks All.

Ps. Reality...temp congrats until keys are in hand.

ha ha, thanks Mike

i can help you hope for spring, as for the parts i have no experience..

i think the diffuser would fit, but only after modifying the add on you have. I think you would have to have some work done to the add on, to get it to taper around the diffuser.

Default Dang...

now I don't know. I guess I could always call them and ask. Don't want to buy without knowing for sure and don't want to rely too much on a shop being able to make it fit.

Bump on the Stoptech info...looks like a good set-up to me.

^^I'm not sure... I know Vivid Racing stocks this item. It's a bit pricey - 590 plus shipping.

I just got the Mastergrade TS diffuser. Its pretty siick. The other option I was considering was the diffuser from the Z store, but with Varis vortex generators.....mmmmmm

Why me?

For brakes.
A thing to keep in mind, Stoptech does not ship to Canada. I also tried to get their stage 2 upgrade, but they would not ship to Canada. You'd have to find a retailer that has it in stock and would ship to Canada. I went through Z1 Auto, but they did not have in stock and requested stoptech to directly ship it to me and their policy did not allow out of country shipments. They would have to ship to Z1 Auto first then ship to Canada, which is a lot more shipping charges. I ended up getting my money returned and piecing my own kit together locally.

I got Techna fit SS brake lines and Axxis Ultimates for rear from Tougetuning.ca, Rotara slotted rotors and Hawk HP+ front pads from Battle Endless, then some RBF600 from Simone Performance. Brembo blanks for from Raceready.ca for rear And bam, my own stoptech stage 2

Price breakdown:
SS lines - $120
Rotara Rotors - $250 for front pair (I believe 230 or less for rear pair.)
Brembo Blanks - $200 for rear pair (not sure what front's costed)
HP+ pads for front= $120
Axxis Ultimate pads for rear = $90
RBF600 x2 = $26x2 = $52

Total = $832

About same price as stoptech after shipping and brokerage.

This setup also proved to be fade-less after 10 laps of Shannonville full track. I was quite impressed and had no complaints at all.

lol I wrote more than I thought. Hope this helps.

Do you really want everything in the kit? I never found lines to be all that necessary on an everyday street car. Anyone who is convinced steel braided lines are giving them some kind of advantage on the street are kidding themselves. Instead I opted to buy individually. Bought front and rear stoptech sportstop rotors (slotted nonbrembo) for $368US.

I don't know how dead set you are on slotted or not. If not, i'd recommend the centric premium blanks which are the exact same rotors stoptech uses anyways. They are $272US for all four. Black coated hat also.

Rotora premiums? again, rebadge centric premium blanks, although they do their own slotting.

Bought all my stuff from Zeckhausen Racing, they were great.

^Agreed, SS lines aren't necessary unless you frequent the track a lot.

That's some good pricing on rotors, wish I knew sooner.
