Default Tire Shine? Recommendations?

Hey all,

Just wondering what everybody is using for tire shine?

Looking for something with the following criteria:
  • Wet/Glossy look
  • Long lasting (stays even after rain)
  • Minimal sling

I've used Formula 2001, and a Simoniz 'No water formula". Both are pump sprays...with average results.

I've seen a few 'gel' type but never tried it - let me know your opinions.

Thanks

The gel types are a bit more messy but give a better shine and last longer. Use with a sponge applicator.

Are you talking about the foam type ones?

So the Black Magic basically keeps it black? But not wet?

I wish it did both...

Does the gel sling off?

Best product ever is soap and water with a brush.
It will clean the tire to a matt shine ,then use a gel type dressing if wanted with a applicator and then remove the extra by wiping tire with a rag or paper towel.
it will last longer than anything including rain as it will stick to the tire and not the brown left over residue.
All sprays turn brown after rain .

i use Zaino Z16 tire shine. Lasts quite a while, and it doens't look ultra wet. Just a nice "clean" shine to it.

Does this give you a really wet/glossy shine?

FYI - looks like Crappy Tire has the 'Black Magic' products on sale this week

Z16 is great and you can get it in Fairview, Square 1, and Vaughn Mills in the Barber's Chair as well as other great Zaino goodies.
