Trade: Mazda RX-8 GT for G35 (Toronto)
#83
Wow after seeing that this thread was 5 pages long I had to read all of it. RX-8 might beat the 350z on an autocross track, but put that little puppy on a full road course and watch it get eaten alive! Both cars being completely stock. No competition at all. I was passing RX-8s at the track last year and it was my first time on a road course. What does that say? I bet the RX-8 guy will say that those RX-8 drivers were amateurs. Maybe, but so am I.

No way the OP will come back unless he found a guy with a totalled G that will trade straight up for the RX-8 ha He made so many references to RX-8s winning all these race championships and all. I might be mistaken, but don't these teams replace/rebuild their engines numerous times in a season? I don't see a rotary engine lasting very long week after week of racing without rebuilds. Great engine in theory, but a piece of crap in reality. Burns oil, shitty seals, lots of wasted heat (power) due to a high surface to volume ratio in the combustion chamber, hot spots. Oh yeah and gas mileage is the same if not worse than the Z with tons less power. +1000 for the RX-8 rotary haha OP should talk to any engineer who knows something about engines and he will tear that engine apart.

I'm also a member of RX8club.com and Hibbing is a real user there. There are a bunch of users with auto RX8s wanting to trade with his 6spd. Duh! The 6spd is like 238Hp and the auto is less than 200Hp. Talk about not getting it right.

Let me BOP you on the head with some facts.
1) You enter a 350Z forum asking if anyone wants to trade straight up.
2) Your car right now according to NADA is worth (05 model GT) $11,100 in fair condition and $14,300 in excellent. A G35 of the same year is worth $15250 in good and $18,880 in excellent.
3) There's a difference of $4150 (good) and $4580 (excellent). Don't be surprised if we ask where the cash at. Where the cash at?
4) You make a post about how you want to trade for a G35, then post how much it sucks along with the almighty Z. Forgive me if I'm a bit confused here.
