Anyone have a scrap old front bumper they want to get rid of for next to
nothing? Or have their grille on the front bumper cut out and would be willing to let me check it out in person. I'm debating doing it but after that first cut there's no goin back and if it looks like *** then that will suck.

I want to do the same... There is some pics floating around with stock FB/no grill. I remember some guys had problems with them deforming/cracking at high speeds (200+ km/h). Other than that I'm just worried about debris having an open path to my rad.

Yah debris is a concern rocks n stuff but I think it should be fine I've seen the
pics online some look pretty good with the right front lip. But would be better to see it in person or try it on a spare bumper.

And I need to show off my rad haha

Are our bumpers really that weak that they are deforming and cracking when the grill is cut out? Even with old shitty civic or integra bumpers, you can cut the **** out of them for intercoolers or whatever and still be sittin pretty even at high speeds.

Nonetheless I'd like to see some pics of the oem z bumper with the grill cut out. Can't picture it right now...

yes... i remember seeing a pic of some guy's front bumper warping at high speeds because he cut the grill out. it actually serves as some bumper support i think. it was DBZ if i remember correctly.. and his bumper cracked from driving at high speeds with the grill cut out.

I have an '03 and i cut the grill out, as well, I put in 2 intake ducts below my headlights. I have since driven at 260km/h to work several times and my bumper has not deformed.
