Default 16" winter rims

Ok here are the pics of my new 16" winters.

My first impression of them when I put them on my car was: "hmm... they look tiny"... but after a day of driving them in the snow, i'm pretty happy... the tires are great on snow, slush and ice... no problems accelerating, turning or braking, and in fact neither VDC nor ABS turned on once... and after spending the past 2 days looking at the cars in my neighbourhood with black steelies on their beemers, mercedes, audis and acuras, i'm pretty happy with the look as well. (not great, but OK for winter)

BTW, the rims are 16x7 FRDracing with 215-65-16 Toyo observe G02+ tires, $1400 cdn shipped to my house balanced and ready to mount.

The pics were taken 5 minutes ago after driving for 1 hour in the snow (the caked on salt makes me want to cry...)

Forgot to mention... dry pavement performance is decent too... a bit squishy for my taste, but not bad for winters... and the ride quality/road noise is actually better IMO than the stock potenza's

anyway like I said... the whole setup is not great, but decent for winter..............

OUCH!
I'm glad that for now I don't live in a state that salts the roads (*whew*).

Looks nice for winter shoes though

lol those look like truck tires! But I'd rather drive on those snow tires than sliding around on summer tires. Not too bad looking for 16" wheels.

Help me out here

I have a base Z and I drove in the snow for the first time Friday, and it just did not go anywhere. I was originally going to get 16's and some Blizzaks, but after having to leave the car in a lot because I couldn't get home, I changed my mind.

Having 16's and snow tires actually makes the car drivable in snow???
How much weight did you have to put in the trunk?

IMO, you don't need any weight in the trunk. The car works fine with just winter tires (get them narrow, 215s, for even better bite). I've tried to spin the car a couple of times, but with the VDC and winter tires it's pretty much impossible to do without really screwing up or driving on ice.

Got the rims & tires as a package from the (only) local Infinity dealership. It's the same package they use on the G35 coupe (auto - no Brembos). Cost me just over $1K with taxes. Well worth it, IMO.
